well the thing which bothers me MOST is how custom interfaces are going to be present in WAR
second question, if they are going to make a system similar to WoW either will some people from current ace community make addons for it.

Not many people can keep up with two MMOs at a time, especially if they're developing addons on top of that. So my guess is that you'll have to find some new mod writers, unless a significant number of developers decide to switch - which is even harder for them, because they're not only switching games but development platforms as well.

naa, watch WHO goes off and uses lua for their UI and ace gets ported... that'll be the day!
Creating ace based mods for warhammer will be far easier than you expect.
+ the NDA has been lifted now.
+ from what I can see warhammers usage of lua to implement the UI mirrors wow so closley, that making ace mods for war should be trivial.
And no you will not have to change development platforms.
you still use your pc/mac & you still edit lua.
