Delete everythign in the folder except the .svn folder and update. ALternatively, re-checkout the distribution.
Now I get "Failed to add file 'blahblah\Squishy.xml': object of the same name is already scheduled for addition".
And there's no "checkout" I can do.
SVN is indeed so easy *cry*
Edit:
OK, I've deleted everything in the folder (.svn as well), and I then could do the CheckOut, which went fine... *whew* :]
Thanks for the tips and sorry about that, I can be a slow learner...
Would it be sensible to add a requirement that all addons in the SVN repository have a .toc file with a reasonable Notes line?
Some addons don't even have a Notes line at all, and those are of course the worst cases.
Others, like AuldLangSyne, has lines like "Should auld acquaintance be forgot, you'll need something to remember them by.", and BlackSheep has "Find the black sheeps in your raid!" While these particular examples are in the gray area for me, they don't really explain what the addons do either.
I've never had any major issues with the SVN, using Tortoise.
Over the past couple days, I can't update anything, I keep getting the errors:
"PROPFIND request failed on '/root'"
"PROPFIND of '/root': could not connect to server (http://svn.wowace.com)
any suggestions? I've completely uninstalled TortoiseSVN, rebooted numerous times, checked settings on my router, amongst many other things that may be of significance. Still seeing the same issues.
after some testing, access to anything at http://svn.wowace.com/ seems broken. Someone made a booboo.
Sorry if the question is dumb.
If I import a project into the SVN trunk, does the revision starts at 1 (from the svn manual) ?
From the svn logs I see most of the 'initial commit' have a revision starts at like 1xxx. Does that mean those projects are added by 'commiting a change to the parent folder' and not 'importing a new project'?
What I mean was, if I am to upload my ParserLib to SVN, should I:
- Check out the whole /root/trunk, add ParserLib to /root/trunk/ParserLib, then commit the change of /root/trunk
i'm trying to checkout a couple of addon folders but all i get is the folder ".svn" with it's sub-folders but nothing else. the download stops after creating those folders. i tried tortoise and other clients but i get the same reactions. i even turned of my virus scanner and my firewall. do i need some kind of athentification. i have always been a "bleeding edge" addict and would like to use the most recent versions of the addons. can anyone give me a hint what i'm doing wrong when checking out?

are you using kaspersky antivirus ? then disable it, at least the web-protection-modul.
SVN is using the http protocol, but extensions anti virus programs don't understand (and block)

jeah thx dafire that solved the problem and now i can try out all those wonderful addons ^^
I keep getting the following error on several different mods as I try to update:
svn: REPORT request failed on '/root/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: Cannot replace a directory from within
Edit:
D:\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns>svn up fubar-*
svn: REPORT request failed on '/root/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: Cannot replace a directory from within
Edit:
I removed the fubar-compat folders and rechecked the existing one out. The problem has gone away. Did someone like delete a second folder by that name? I swaer I had two, and there's only one on the SVN.
same. also SVN is the slowest thing i've ever dealt with. Having 100MBit connection im feeling myself like on 9600 modem. Even connection to SVN takes a shitload of time :(
Any hope it can be improved in any way in any future?

Oh and you should "Import ParserLib folder to /root/trunk "
