I'm using Notepad++ for my overall edit needs, including poking in .lua files (I'm not a programmer but I can tweak stuff).
Only problem I have is that I don't have the Rightclick -> New -> Text document option left in Vista after installing Notepad++. Checking for a solution.
I have been using Notepad++ for my mod hacking. Works quite nicely for Windows. I will play with vim however. Almost time for me to dump Windows anyway.
Sorry to say this but if you use Cream you do not understand what is good about vim. Cream rips out all the "hard to learn" things and throws in "It's easy! do it with menu options!" and makes it behave like windows editors (ctrl-c ctrl-v shift select etc). It's like swimming with an inflatable dinosaur thingy around your waist. "Guys guys look I'm swimming too!".

True, but it can also offer a way for newcomers to Vi to be less overwhelmed by it.
I kinda wanted to see what everyone is using for LUA editors or if they are using just the standalone Notepad.
I am currently using LUAedit 3.0 Very good editor, has tons of functions and easy to use.
What are you using?

I did use SciTE earlier, and there are several WoW orientated version of it (SciTE-WOWInterface for example).

hm never knew of e, checking it out
And e does look pretty good.
Big plus for Notepad++. I love that thing!
By the way, Lua isn't an acronym; it's just "Lua" (Loo-uh phonetically).
(g)vim runs fine on windows, and with :set guioptions=gtrb you dont have any nasty menus and crap :P
also apparently e is not open source, freeware or even shareware, but has a 30 day trial. fail. :|
(and it's Orion's father! ;) )
well, I installed gvim, but with the option of bat files :P Now I have a lil dos window open with my beloved vim .... aah I feel better now
Another vote for Notepad++ on Windows. I use Bluefish on linux.
More pwetty.
Indeed more pwetty :P
Am I the only one liking Vim (or alternative editors) set to have a dark background and light typing?
Can't resist posting this too ...

Don't really use more anyway. ~~
