I've used the wowaceupdater for awhile now and have been having a few issues only the past few days/weeks.
for instance, 2 nights ago i ran the update. turned out that babble2.-whatever mod was buggy and knocked out 4 other of my mods. reverted to prior version and problem solved.
updated again teh next night thinking the problem with babblewhatever was fixed, and it was, BUT this time Prat was funked up. the mod loads but /prat command didnt do anything (no feedback at all) and the fubar icon for prat had basically no options. reverted to previous version and all was OK again.
my question is if there's a way to make the wowaceupdater grab "Release" quality files only. i know mods get bugs and stuff and none of this will stop me from using ace mods or the aceupdater :) but i think it would be a great idea, if the option is there.
maybe the svn or whatever could have a separate directory listing for the Release versions, and we (users) could grab from there. hopefully minimize a lil headaches for lots of people.
now i also know there are some mods like bigwigs and stuff that are posted to wowinterface.com as release versions, but i know for sure that most of my ace2 mods are not published anywhere outside of wowace.com/files.
Live with bugs if you want mostuptodate mods or download them manually at WoWInterface/Curse-Gaming or dont update if you have a working version...
The svn is a development environment and not for releasing bugfree mods tbh...
And i like that you sometimes get bugged versions, it keeps alot of "noobish" users away that got no clue about anything at all and dont even want to learn, they just drop it after it didnt work 1 time.
Besides that marking a mod as release version doesnt mean the mod works with all Libary Versions ;)
