I'm using a mac, so this is probably different than PC users.
I am trying to set a texture of an eepanel to one that I found on wowtextures.com, I tried setting it how the eePanels wiki said, but nothing I do seems to work, Help! how(exactly) to I set a different texture in eePanels?
I have textures saved to a folder named Textures in my Interface folder. Then, for the panel you want the texture in, (I don't remember the wording off the top of my head) find where it says to import the texture - then type in the path to that file. It already starts at Interface, so you would type in \\Textures\\mytexture.tga (again - not 100% sure on the memory recollection part :P ) - hit enter, too , to show your texture. Your eepanel will have to be the same dimensions as your texture, also, unless you want it stretched.
Well... since you got it from wowtextures, it should be this way already, but.... Make sure that your texture has dimensions that are powers of 2 and has an alpha layer. There are multiple tutorials around on how to do alpha layers, including one on wowtextures. Don't remember if eePanels requires an alpha layer or not, so you can try checking the size first. If that doesn't work, try the alpha layer.
yup, the texture im using has an alpha layer, and the dimensions are correct, maybe eepanels cant direct with the path because OS X works differently, although I don't see how that could really affect it.
