afaik all ranks of spells below level 40 will get a nerf since they don't get the full spelldamage/+healing from itemstats anymore, so you probably don't want to cast them anyways.
Considering there also seems to be a general health increase this will mostly shift which are the 'heals of choice'. As a Priest I currently largely use the spell Heal rank 2, which is learned just above the current cut off point. If the cut off point changes to level 40, this will neatly point me towards Greater Heal rank 1, which heals approximately 600 more right now; with generally higher health pools that'll neatly compensate for the likely increase in incoming damage as well.
That said, I've personally never used one of the auto-select what heal to cast addons. They interfere with my own choices for the most part, there's certain values of heals that are generally most needed. You may overheal a bit, but with some spell choices this is fairly negligible in the difference in mana efficiency. I personally have about 7 different heals I actively use, this is more than efficient enough, you don't need close to every single heal bound, the majority you'll never use.
I'm really concerned about shapeshifting as a druid. Right now I use Zorlen's functions to do it (and I know there are a lot of libraries/addons/mods whatever that do the same thing). They're pretty simple...if I'm a bear and I hit the bear button, I stay a bear...if I'm a bear and I hit the cat button I shift to cowform and if I hit the cat button again I shift to cat.
I used them together with an addon called Altaglyphs which allowed me to use mousegestures in game.
So basically mouse left was bear form, mouse right was cat form, mouse down was travel/aqua form. If I'm a bear and I mouse right I turn into a cow lady, mouse right again, become a cat.
The functions also helped me in laggy situations. If I want to shift to bear but it doesn't happen right away I'd press the button again thinking I mistyped/clicked or something, and using blizzards shapeshift bar/buttons I would shift to bear and then back to cow and realize, hey! I'm not a bear by which point I would either be 1) dead or 2) shift to bear but have much less health and mana than I would have if not for lag.
Another thing I'll very much miss was a caster form shapeshift bind/function....if I'm in cat form and wanted to heal I'd just hit my heal twice...first hit would make me a cow and second hit would cast the heal (I actually had this for my clickcasting using Clique).
Am I going to have to learn to play my druid all over again? Anyone know if blizzards shapeshifting functionality will change any? I really hated it when I'd get button spammy and shift multiple times when really I only wanted one shift. I'll REALLY miss castCasterForm(). And does anyone know about the ability of something like AltaGlyphs to continue functioning? http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-3227-1-altaglyphs.html
for sure.. i have understand possible to clic-cast but i have to decide wich spell rank.. is the end of all healing manaconserve mods :( .....
for all of us who was playing healers classes will come hard days.
*is amazed when people complain about having to make choices and think on thier own*
I play a healing-focused paladin. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. I rely on AddOns like Detox and SimplyMagicalHealer not because I'm lazy or unable to make my own choices, but because I am physically unable to perform to my guild's standards without them. 99% of the time the AddOns make the same choices I would anyway.
Now I have to decide if I am going to quit playing WoW altogether or switch to a different class in which I won't need to rely on AddOns.
I hope that overall you'll see a shift in decursing to "decursing assignments", you grab your group, or this group, or that group. There's not much else that can be done-- but I think that's a valid alternative and somethign that healers should be suggesting.
Since most of the botting programs directly manipulate the keyboard controls anyway from outside the program, it's not going to affect them at all. If any sort of server side changes would have, it would have been the ones stopping movement functions like they did a long time ago, and that only made the botters go external.
I'm just wondering. Our guild uses a bidding system to decide who gets crossclass items. You whisper "bid <yourbid>" to the masterlooter and a bot will check if you have enough dkp, your bid is higher than the one before you etc.
