Most of the downtime will relate directly to making sure we have the latest forum and wiki databases, and cutting over the SVN (Which is going to just plain take some time, and verification). The process should go smoothly, but there will likely be a number of kinks to be worked out, and things that will need to be configured.
To be specific about my side of the work, I will be cutting off ALL non DAV http:// traffic to http://svn.wowace.com at approx 5:00pm EST. This will allow me to start the dump of the current svn server and not have to worry about my processes being killed. In addition, the SVN itself will be READ ONLY during this time, and will be the only traffic on the server.
If that traffic alone prevents me from getting the work done, I will be removing all access to the SVN-- but I'd rather avoid that if at all possible.
TRAC is currently installed on the new servers, but will need to be configured for some of our stuff specifically-- but the main features are there and working just fine. I can install any other web frontend, but at this time we'd like to move forward with TRAC.
I'm not sure I'll be available via email until 5:00, hopefully I am. Reply to this thread, or shoot me an email if you have any specific questions.
Right now, you will continue having seperate logins for the forums, the wiki, and a third for the subversion/trac (they are integrated). We may work to improve this in the future, but that's going to take time.
7pm central time - is that 7pm european central time? Or US central time (whatever that is, I just know eastcoast and westcoast time ;) )? Or some asian time zone? And is 'tomorrow' monday? or tuesday?
