Before everyone asks, yes I did read the wiki on what the svn is, about 100 times over the past week. I've been trying for the life of me to figure out how to use it without direct downloading single files at a time. I've tried all I can think of, but I keep getting this error. Can anyone help me?
would anyone be so kind as to type out exactly what i would need to type in the command prompt, assuming i wanted to checkout into my current directory?
This will check out into a new directory called "Squishy" under your current directory. If you want the contents of the Squishy mod in the current directory instead, you can do:
a while as in hours? i let it run all night and it didn't do anything more.
i really love ace, but i don't know if i'm going to be able to direct download so much stuff without killing myself, especially with the advent of ace 2 and its myriad externals. I tried reinstalling and it didn't do a thing.
Check your virus and firewall programs, I think someone mentioned in another SVN thread that some firewall was blocking their SVN software without throwing any sort of error or warning.

I tried that also. Basically, it downloads something for like 10 seconds, and then nothing. All it does is create the folder I told it to download.
I seem to have the same problem. It downloads the .svn folder which is about 9kb and then just stops and it gives no message or something. I also use tortoiseSVN and tried disabling virusscan and firewall, but it didn't help. The weird thing is that it worked just fine before I formatted my pc :(
i just can´t get it to work. don´t no what the problem is.
i tried all different svn clients but the error is always the same.
i can browse the repisotory with no problems at all, but if i try to check out something the client just hangs and the only thing i get is the hidden .svn-directory in my destination folder.
yes i´m using kaspersky anti-virus and i also completely disabled it but the error stayed the same.
i´m using no firewall at all, just my router. all standard ports are forwarded and everything else is working fine.
don´t know what to do right now, since almost every ace-addon is on the svn right now i just have to download every favorite addon file by file *sigh*
Of all the documentation and all the other BS I went through to get the SVN working for me this thread truely delivered. I was using the browser path and had a firewall up. I couldnt find either of these things mentioned in the documentation. THX Much!!!

Yeah, as you might have guessed, I get that all the time :p
svn co http://svn.wowace.com/root/trunk/Squishy

All this does is create a folder on my desktop named Squishy with nothing inside :(
I appreciate everyone trying to help me though, any other advice?
