BTW, I got a good version of the file from my girlfriend and now it's patching and at 50% so it hopefully will work now. Tomorrow will be a day of code. :D
I've have tried to comprehend that myself. At first I thought it was just my set of disks that were faulty and slow, but when I used my fiance's disks to reload it this last time, it was as bogged down as ever.
Blizz says, "40X CD-ROM? I dont think we let you run at that. I think we'll have you install at 2X, if your nice. Just wait until you try to PATCH, then you'll start to understand our way of thinking..."
if CD == "40x" and HD == "raptor ultramegazordsuperfast" and HS.FreeSpace == "googleplex megs" then
EverythingOnTheInstallDisk:BurstCopyTo(HD)
HDCopy:InstallFromHere()
?
Seriously, how long does it take to burst rip a CD or DvD to an HD compared to asking the file system of a CD to handle a gazzillion small files?

Apparently my WoWError.exe is failing it's checksum check :( and I can't patch without re-installing WoW.
/cry /cry (goes to look for someone with the WoW Discs because I didn't bring mine up to school for some reason)
:twisted:
Trying to install the patch with an already patched copy of WoWError in its place... another 4% before I know if it crashes or not.
Maybe (Fingers crossed) my girlfriend hasn't patched yet either and she as the old file.
Also my roommate quit about a month ago but he still has it installed, so he might have the last patched file.
Aw, I take it back. I want as many of you guys as possible trying to break my stuff so it gets better :-)
:lol:
