I just had a moment of pride, inspiration and clarity (generally feelin' good) after managing to whip up the IRC tut so incredibly fast, and whenever I get in that mood I usually remember other 'moments' I've experienced. Just now I remembered the first time I heard the Plastic Bag Theme from the American Beauty Soundtrack. It is the most beautiful song I've heard, and I felt like sharing that with you. I suggest that you spend five minutes and download it on Limewire and listen to it.
I also want to ask that you tell me/us about what you think is the most beautiful song you've heard.
I love everything Nightwish, all of their works are beautiful and inspiring. They can really clarify one's mindset into crystal purity. Still, if you're asking of the most beautiful thing ... I'd have to say it's Moxy Fruvous: The Gulf War Song. It was very sad, it made me weep openly but it got the point across SO damned well that I couldn't see it as anything but beautiful.
I'm not sure I can answer for beautiful song, but I'm fascinated by Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence. She has a hauntingly beautiful voice. I first heard this band's music in the Daredevil movie. "Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal" are on the soundtrack and are my favorites, but I like most of the album. "Bring Me To Life" I enjoy more for the lyrics. "My Immortal" shows off Amy's voice a bit more, I think.
Yeah I know the remake was overplayed and most people hate it..but...
"Torn" performed acoustically by the original artist and writer Ednaswap (Anne Preven). Its one of those songs you can really feel the singer's pain and soul coming through. Call me crazy, most people do :p
