Ello I'll try to create a thread without any drama or flaming :-)
Anyways I like to tinker with my ui a lot, and with the rock configurator when I go out to see how I did, and return to rock, I have to find my way through all the menus again. I suggest for it to somehow remember where you are, maybe a "scroll-up" button that leaves only the titlebar present.
That way I can tinker, see the result and tinker away at the same place, untill it is just right.
Did you post this on jira? It's where ck is asking for all bug reports and suggestions be placed. It's linked in the first post of every one of ck's threads and on the first page of wowace.com
sign up for a jira account (login name must be all lowercase letters)
click Create New Issue at the top
Pick your Project (you'd pick Rock for this)
Pick if it's a bug, feature, etc. (this would be a new feature) - there's even a little help button
Put your summary, your priority (click the help button to know what each means), what component it's for (this is for RockConfig), and then type out what you want.
Well, I got it so moving the mouse away drops the alpha down to 25%, which allows you to see what's under it. Frankly, I think this is adequate instead of the rollup. Any thoughts?
I like this feature/ability alot.. works great, and takes care of the problems of not being able to see a good chunk of your screen while doing configs.
I started redoing my UI last night and found the fade ability was just right. It faded enough that it wasn't obtrusive. Although I wasn't sure at first, the Rock configurator is starting to shape up nicely.
OK, updated my addons today and also got this rock in my set of libraries. Just another set of duplicate tools, great :-(
If it were just the libs, I can live with it. But why include all Unit tests and other developer tools in the distribution. Why not just leave this out and only deliver the really needed files? I always thought, that Ace people are concerned about leaving addons lean and efficient, but the longer I use the the more I get the feeling, that this is not the case ...
I don't mean to sound cruel or unkind, but please please please, can we not have every single thread remotely related to Rock turn into "I hate this, I am moving away from this and this to avoid rock".

I don't know why ckk included them, though I am sure it'll get straightened out soon.

Rock Config is similar to Niagara (or Niagra, forgive me the mistake), it handles all other addons, which made my life easier so far.
I didn't see a single change in resources used (perhaps even went down a notch with Rock) is the "lack of lean-ness". I mean, I as end-user don't notice any negative changes so far. It's still lean and efficient, just a change in how those things are presented to the end user. That is all.
