Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I wasn't able to find it.
I wonder what is the goal for AceGUI? Is it meant to provide the same functionality as Waterfall? Or a higher level of abstraction for GUI elements, but without Waterfall's ability to read AceOptions table?
if you are talking about the baggins screen shot using AceConfigDialog then yes this finally looks like a GUI that is actually nice not the waterfall/rock gui crap no offence to waterfall or rock but a GUI should be specific to the addon and should make sense all waterfall/rock does is make a big tree of options look less like a tree but they basically are still dewdrop style gui's just without the tooltip feel to them
Ace3 is going Alpha release in the very near future. What we'll do at that point is write docs and let devs play with it (perhaps try to convert one of their addons to it) and see if there's any issues that need addressing.
We really do not recommend releasing addons based on the Alpha since if we DO find something that needs changing, it will be changed with zero backward compatibility (that's what alphas are for).
