I have been looking for the perfect unit frames addon but I have yet to find it. The popular ones like X-Perl and Pitbull and great but they are just so complex based on my experience with them.
What I want is a smooth looking, simple addon to show my party's and raids unit frames with jusy basic info like debuffs, health/power, with pet's maybe some optional stuff liek buffs, party targets, etc.
An addon I love is IceHUD and a perfect unit frame would have simple bars that could match this addon (ArcBars is my fave style)
I do not know anything about developing addons but would really enjoy seeing something like this created. I'd be happy to help however possible though.
Have you tried PitBull4? It's a lot easier to configure than 3. You can make it do pretty much anything you want.
I have tried PitBull 4 and the unit frames are hideous and still quite a pain to configure, but that isn't the point.
I'm asking about someone making a set of simple and actually good-looking unit frames. I use IceHUD and it is damn good looking, but every unit frame addon I have tried is just horrible looking. I do not need to know my main healer's height, weight and favorite color of ice cream, just the basics (like health, mana, debuffs, etc.) I just want it to look good while giving me the info (like the ArcBars skin in the IceHUD addon.)
And if you want the "perfect" UF, plan to spend many many hours configuring one. Avoiding eyesores could be difficult, but if you want to fix that, you'll need to write your own. Removing what you consider to be clutter can be done with any UF addon I know of by spending time looking through the options.
I'm not sure where you're coming from when you call PitBull an eyesore. You can make it look like whatever you want. I mean, at some point you are going to have to have a bar to represent your health, but you can change the texture, fonts, texts, arrangement, border, etc. Have you looked through the post cool PitBull layouts thread? The variety of what people make is amazing.

You cannot just say ask for a "set of simple and actually good-looking unit frames" because it depends on your very own likings that nobody else could know better than you. A lot of existing unit frame addons are very, very customizable. If you could not get what you wished using them, how could someone else success to do it ?
You might also have better luck if you provided better descriptions, or screenshots, of the type of thing you do want, rather than making vague statements about what you don't want. As Adirelle said, nobody knows your own preferences as well as you do, so when you describe things with such highly subjective terms as "smooth looking", "simple", "horrible looking", "eyesores", "cluttered", or "look good", none of us have any clue what you mean, making it pretty tough to give you any meaningful recommendations.
Someone above recommended Stuf and it seems to be working out well for me, I was just having bad luck getting other UFs to work right for what I needed.
