I find myself always searching for the same things in the Auction House.
I'm looking for an addon that will let me setup a list of things I want to search for. I'd also like it to let me setup how much I'd like to spend, option to only search for full stacks, etc. I'd like it to also let me set if I want just buy out or bid. After a search, I'd like to to display all possible matches in 1 window with some way for me to select which I want and which I don't (tick boxes maybe?) with the press of a button I'd like it to execute my commands.
What I'd like is a mix between auction snatch which produces errors when I use and Yani's AuctionHelper which is in German and I can't understand it. Having the matching results to your auction search displayed in a window similar to what Postal does for mail would be great.
I, and most people I play with, are in the exact same situation. That is, we are browsing the AH for the same items most of the time, because we need some regularly (consumables for raiding, ...), for a one time purchase but the item is not often at the AH or we prefer to wait for a low price, or lots of other reasons.
So two or three times a day we enter the same search parameters for five or six items. It's doesn't take long each time but at the end of the week it accounts for a sizeable play time that could easily be saved.
What exactly do we need then ?
First of all the abilty to save sets of search parameters from those available in the default AH window and also save a specific ordering of the results. Just as if we had just done it ourselves.
Then we need a list of those search sets so they can be executed with a single click.
Add a bid and buyout button for each result and we're set.
Also make the results window resizeable and use all the space to display the results. The thing is I prefer to see all the results at once rather that having to change pages and when I'm checking the AH I hardly care about anything else, except maybe the chat window, so it's fine if the AH window covers almost all my screen.
Optionally, it could be useful to be able to apply a mask on the results of a search to limit the price range, the duration left of there is no buyout set, the stack size if items are stackable.
Also it would save a litte time to have the ability so select multiple auctions (like the usual click one and shift+click another to select all between or ctrl+click to add that one to the selection) and bid on or buyout all of them with a single click.
It looks simple for my user point of view but I know it might not be as easy to code. What do seasoned developpers think ?
Check out AuctionLite. It allows you to save searches, shift-click to select multiple auctions, and specify the quantity you want to buy. It also records price data, so it can show you when auctions are below or above the historical average for that item.
