www.sw-stats.com contains an Addon called SW-Stats, one of It's modules is called SW-UniLog, It's an enhanced Combat Log Analysis tool, that shows all combat events where U can set Filters and such... like RDX-Omniscience, for whoever knows It.
I'd like to know If There's an Ace2 Version of this addon, cause actually I dont give much importance to Damage Meters, but I Do like SW-UniLog to see What's going On when something goes wrong in a learning fight.
Assessment is a Meters Addon based on tags for higher customizability. :P This is not what I meant..
SW-UniLog is a Reconstruction of the Combat Log, more readable, where U can set Filters... Like... "All events that had Player1 as Target from the Mob2 NPC", or "All Heals incoming on target Player2" and shows them in a Timeline View... VERY VERY handy to check for Bosses abilities and Timing between them... how much healing is necessary to keep a Tank up, or to analyze in a fluke sittuation what killed the Tank and what could have saved him so we dont do same mistake again... and so on...
Well If there's no ACE2 Solution for that Yet, I leave the Suggestion here for something to be created.
It's not like Eaves Drop... We could say It's a Transcriptor, but with a VERY nice GUI where U can filter in/out Events by Source, Damage/Heal Type(Heal, Buff, Debuff, DOT, HOT, Crit, Glancing/Crushing Blow, Allied Damage, etc....), Skill Name, Ammount of Heal/Damage, Target...
U can check It out by Downloading SW-Stats with UniLog and seeing It... U'll Like It a lot... but really... I would love to see an Ace2 Alternative, using Parser-3.0, that is not dependant from a Meters addon that uses much memory to display bars and all... U know the bloat that Meter Bars can create... :P
it's no big issue to capture/filter/sort all data (okay, dont know about filtering/sorting yet, but capture + save in some table works fine). However the output is going to be tricky since we need some excel-like-spreadsheet (scrollable, nice clickable headers, and so on) - and i have _no_ idea how to realize that stuff ;)
Sorry to necro this topic but just like the original poster I´m interested in an addon that works like sws-unilog did. Does anyone know of or is someone interested in coding one?
Also I assume the reason why unilog was part of and required the sws damage meter is that most of the data it had to save to an table was the same. Keeping this in mind it´s propably really wasteful to have one of those in addition to a damage meter. Wouldn´t it be feasible to code and recount (or similar damage meter) module for this purpose?
I disagree. Either I missed some important customizations with the new combatlog or it's still far inferior to what Unilog was capable of.
What I can do with the new combatlog is define a filter that - say only shows all my spellcasts or incoming damage of some type. I can't make it filter specifically for my Aimed Shots or check who Shock Vortexed me on our last Council wipe.
In short the default combatlog offers some default filters to check or uncheck but doesn't allow to filter for literally any single ability by name. Also the interface is much more complicated than the intuitive excel-autofilter-like one of Unilog.
Also please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I've seen of the wow API it seems like it's possible for AddOns to access older combatlog messages without having to save them in its own tables via CombatLogSetCurrentEntry and CombatLogGetCurrentEntry. I didn't have the time to look into it myself so far and I´m somewhat lacking the expertise to do GUIs (with or without ACE), but from a first glance it does look very doable but I guess I may have missed something important or someone else would have done such an AddOn long ago. ;)
