With 3.0, the solution I used for moving the quest tracker has finally failed one too many times for me to repair it again. So I'm trying to find a replacement.
All I want is an addon that moves the Blizzard tracker to the top left of the screen or a point of choosing, if I can pick the top left :P. Maybe increase then number of tracked quests in it if they finally unbugged it, as it used to be hard coded as 5, even if you change the appropriate variable. It can have options to move other stuff, I'm not anal, but these options need to be disableable, I don't want to accidentally move my character frame off the screen again :P.
What I don't want is a tracker replacement, zone coloring, or anything fancy. I like the look, feel, and use of the default tracker, but the placement under the minimap is an issue. Most tracker mods I see are complete overkill with no way to get them even close to the simplistic clean look of plain yellow text on no background default.
I've tried a few addons, but I haven't found one that's reliable. For example, simpleminimap has a nice movement option, but the tracker moves around the square at random rather than anchoring as expected.
Have you tried QuestGuru? It does replace both the log and the tracker, but you can EASILY modify the tracker to be nothing more than the title bar, quest names colored however you want (mine are by level- gray, green, yellow, orange, red), and the objective.
With QG you can also watch A LOT more than 5 quests at a time, it even puts a little scrollbar so if you have too many out they wont flood your screen. Tracker is also minimizable so you can keep your watched quests out, but just minimize the tracker down to the title bar to clear up some screen estate if you need.
You might also take a look at Endless (on wowinterface.com), which lets you track more than 5 quests in the Blizzard quest tracker, lets you track quests with no objectives, and remembers which quests were tracked between sessions.
