I have been running around doing all the old instances and realised just how awsome garbagefu is (the "shift click to drop cheapest junk item" function), now i find myself having to stop and dig through my bags to drop stuff again.
So im wondering, is there any addon that works with wrath that offers this function, or maybe even a rewrite of garbagefu so i atleast can use it through fubar2broker?
Broker_group seems to be the one, but as for moneyFu none of the broker plugins seems to have the additional tracking that i like with moneyfu (ie gained/lost/profit today/yesterday/week nor tracking of gold amount owned by alts).
Its a bit hard to find them since there is no uniform naming of the plugins.
Been hesitant to move to Junkie. Mostly due to comments (on the wowinterface.com Comments section) that it has had problems deleting the proper item after bags are sorted with a mod such as BankStack. This is a problem GarbageFu used to have long (long) ago before safety checks were put in it. Long, long use of GarbageFu here has built up confidence in its item handling. Junkie still has a ways to go for me.
The code above to get GarbageFu (it works fine in WoW 3.0.2) seen by a LDB addon looks interesting; will have to try it in spare time. Another option to have it--and other FuBar mods you can't find a replacement for--show in a LDB display: FuBar2Broker.
If you get the latest version of FuBar2Broker from the WowAce project page, it will make AuditorFu's menus work properly with LDB.
Moneyfu works just fine with FuBar2Broker, bt im trying to cut away all the "extra" stuff and streamlibne everything, and that includes cutting away everything that needs FuBar2Broker and try to go with pure broker.
Can someone confirm that there is nothing broken in GarbageFu? I want to switch back from Junkie/Haggler because of the unsafety item handling.
Been testing/using GarbageFu since 3.0.2 went in along with BankStack (for pack sorting). With ItemPrice-1.1 (or one of its other supported price databases), it functions without errors or issues.
Its exclude lists you create ignore the proper items. Its FuBar drop-down menus work. So does everything else I've tried. Most importantly, it both sells and destroys the requested, correct items. No issues choosing the wrong item.
So have yet to run into any problem with the current GarbageFu version (r82107.1 ). Just hope it keeps working fine in future patches and/or someone takes it over.
I can confirm that GarbageFu works fine, I've been using it for a long time with no problems. After 3.0.2 i tried out the alternatives (as suggested in this thread and others), but i must say, the people who do these alternatives don't really get it. I'm not saying GarbageFu is perfect, in fact i find it bloated with functionality i don't need (and this is often enough for me to ditch an addon), but it is the only one that allows me to get an overview of stuff that i may either:
A) Sell (if at a vendor), or
b) Drop (if i need room for something potentially more valuable)
All the alternatives are just about selling sort of semi or fully automatically, but GarbageFu gives me the information i need to make the choice, while also providing the semi and fulyu automatic features both when at a vendor and in the field.
Thanks for the answers. I've tried it (removed every lib another, more current, addons have and added these to the TOC) and it works nice without errors. I can't confirm that the options menu isn't working.
