My first time in to KZ since installing MagicTargets so I had to snap the shot of the scene in Moroes' room that relates back to the example I used to draw up 'Blackjack'.
MagicTargets seems to have some issues with running disembeded.
1: LibBars-1.0 is missing completely if downloading via WAU without externals.
2: I downloaded the zip with embeded libs and moved all libs to my addonsfolder (same way that works with any other ACE addon that i have done it with) but it still popps an error from not finding LibBars-1.0 despite it being in my addonsfolder.

what unit frames and barmod are you using? you're UI looks great.
Thanks Lindalas. The unit frames are Pitbull, and the bars are InfiniBar-2.0 (AutoBar is meshed in on the right as well). I've set the buttons on the left to match my keyboard layout, a Merc Stealth, hence the odd arrangement.
I used MagicTargets it in Gruul's last night and it worked beautifully. I will have to explore the options for it, but right out of the box it gave me the info that perfect targets used to give.
Targeting would be a really great thing.
And I guess there could be a way to achive this.
"MT-Targets" do work - even if different tanks tank Mobs with the same name.
Anyhow - great addon.
A tooltip with a "who is targeting" list would be great.
Imagine the following situation:
RL tell - foucs tartget Skull - and moon has 3 players targeting.
So what to do?
Tell: he Sepp and Karl - you remember Skull is the target.
Currently I do this with "TargetCheck" which gives me a list of players targeting a specific target.
And the ones missing in the list...
Also possible with "Raid members / Raid targets" - but I don't use it due to space restrictions.
My Raid display is Grid :)
Conclusion:
Targeting would be very nice
TT with "players targeting" would be a great help
Main tank frames works because they use a secure template with "raidXtarget" or similar - i.e they are fixed to the target (and optionally target target) of speciifc members of the raid. MT is an entirely different mechanic - it doesn't just use a fixed target - if you wanted to get"magic targets" that works for targeting you'd need one target bar per member of the raid.
A tooltip with who's targeting each mob is an interesting idea and shouldn't be too complex to add.
As noted LibBars is not made by me (by Antiarc) and I don't control when it is put on Trunk. Using it disembedded requires that you manually download the library using SVN.

This is pretty much a must-have for me. It's essential to know how is targeting what so that I can tell them they're targeting the wrong thing :p
Also, I'm not sure if it's implemented already, but a number on the bar itself indicating how many people are targeting that target would be very useful, as it would allow me to quickly determine whether there is a DPS split for example.
targeting will never be possible, period. the 2.0 secure unit frame changes do not permit secure frames to be created, changed, or removed in combat.
As long as they could be shown, moved, and hidden, you can emulate this behavior quite easily, but the mod would have to determine the GUIDs of the raidXtarget and align them appropriately.
You can't move secure frames while in combat, nor can you hide or show them. If it was possible to do so, it would be easy to do exactly the same kind of stuff you could do before 2.0 was introduced. That's another issue - if I somehow added ability to target stuff via the frames, I could no longer sort the list or compress bars if a target died. So again, it is unfortunately impossible to implement.
What IS possible is to make a raidXtarget grid that could be used for this purpose. It wouldn't be nearly as useful of course but could be somewhat useful.

Perhapps make 2 windows of sorts, one that shows the targets as now (non targetable) and one simmilar to decursives MUF with just a number (and if awailable the raidcon) that is always up and targetable (and ofc can be dissabled)?
I don't think the MUF idea would have much practical use.
Im not even sure it possible to do it the way i was thinking, but if it is it would be a way to give a list where u can click to target and using the "normal" list as the info trakcer and the muf as just a target list of some sort...

Remarkable work, NeoTron!

I tried setting up the branch version of LibBars as a disembedded addon and couldn't get it working that way either.
I'll pass on this until NeoTron puts LibBars on the trunk where it should be since MagicTargets depends on it and is itself on the trunk already :p
LibBars is not NeoTron's library, he is just using it.
I just downloaded LibBars from SVN and am using MagicMarker disembedded... seems to work fine for me.

I agree targeting is a problem.
But how about the Tooltip?
