yeah but since I havent read alot about it I dont know which framework it uses and if its more lightweight than parrot but still carry the most important functions, i'm mostly after the interrupt trigger and the Throttle.
Cause right now i'm trying to purge my addons to get rid of Rock, and the only one left right now is Parrot, but I cant seem to find a worthy replacement (still need to check out MSBT though) after that i'm pretty much free from CKK's Work since it seems like he has abandoned all of his old work to move on to Curse.
Do check out MSBT, it's a very capable alternative to Parrot. It even has an optional addon module to use SharedMedia fonts and sounds.
i've not read all responses, but most of them. i'd just like to say that IMHO there should be a library to support not only 'bar plugin' type things, but support minimap placement, bar plugin, etc.
basically, this library would completely handle the GUI part of the addons and one could make their own additions to it in-game easily (how hard would it be to make a menu which when you click on X (text you specify) it does /command). this wouldn't mean that addons don't have the opportunity to customize their own GUI for configuration, but would atleast give a means to access the said interface for configuration through whatever means the user preferrs (fubar, titan panel, etc)
