This is an addon i've been wanting for AGES. The only mod i've come across so far that can do this is Pagemaster2 but it well... is broken and sucks.
By Modifiers I mean if I hold down Alt my bar will flip to a different bar, if I hold Shift to another bar etc etc. All bar mods at the moment have this function. I've used Bartender for most of needs doing this but I sort of wanna head back to blizzard default.
If anyone knows of, or could create a simple mod like this I would be endlessly thankful.
Your broken and suck! :P It's actually a pretty simple fix to get the current PM2 working on live.
I was actually planning on updating (re-writing) PM2 soon though, since I just started playing WoW again.
Lol sorry, didn't mean to offend! Thought the author (you) were long gone.
But yeah would LOVE if you could update it. What I mean by broken:
-It removed all text from my bars (binding text, macro text).
-When I pushed key it would just say "I need to target something first" no matter what spell it was. And even if I DID target something it wouldn't work.
It doesn't so much as "suck" it's just broken and kind of a little hard to use. If you were going to update it:
Simply the config box. For example:
Alt: (DropDown Box) Bar 1-10+
Ctrl: (DropDown Box) Bar 1-10+
Shift: (DropDown Box) Bar 1-10+
etc, etc. So it's just the Modifier than a dropdown box of what bar it is beside it. So it sort of removes the need for having to type stuff in. But in saying that you could have the text-style as an "Advanced" option or something.
You could also perhaps integrate it into Blizzards Interface panel, just an idea.
Here is a hackish fix, it still spits out some weird binding errors but...it's functional :P
As far as making drop-downs -- that won't happen :) The text is so that you can do some slightly more advanced stuff, and use ANY macro conditionals for bar swaps (maybe you want one bar for shift, another for alt, and a different for alt+shift, or one for friendlytarget+shift, or another to only swap when your not flying, etc...) Plus it's really not that much harder to type 'mod:alt' than it is to select from a drop-down :P

Thanks shizload for the update/fix! It's working a treat!
