It all boils down to a sticky note that says "Turn on Master Looter" is much more efficient than trying to write an add-on to determine if someone is rolling on an item that would cause someone else to consider them a ninja.
I just wonder why it is so hard to just to give a straight answer for once? i mean, i asked for something and then you just asking back why i need it... i mean, wtf? just answer the dam question, yes or no, is it so hard?
i said i was sorry that i didnt get your "jokes", but as i have browsed around in the addon-jungle, this request is more than applying... there should be more than enough to be able to be done, ive seen more idiotic addons than this on this site... and you say I am STUPID to request such thing?!
Answer me that and i can quit about this and NO "smart-ass" quote/comment PLEASE!

You know what, I am going to answer you.
No, the addon you are looking for - or rather what we understand from your words, doesn't exist. Read the damn loot log. Write it yourself, parse the log and make it display a message whenever a roll occurs. To achieve your desired addon, you'd have to parse the classes of the raid/party, match it with the stats of the item dropped (also match it with skills one can learn btw - warriors don't have bows/guns from minute one I believe). Also, I play a Paladin, I will most likely also have a leather set (or cloth) for pure healing. With your "tone" in your posts, I don't think anyone in this community will write something up for you.
And we're calling you damn arrogant, annoying, blinded by hostility that you don't get that someone already said NO IT DOES NOT EXIST.

There is no such addon. Nor will anyone write one.
You managed to get one thread locked, of a person who demonstrated a lot more maturity than you. Seriously, I couldn't care less. You come here with an attitude as big as a skyscrapper, slapping idiot to everyone's face because we tend to be sarcastic. Most of us, spend quite some hours on these forums, answering questions, we do this out of choice, but when slapped in the face, we bite back. Deal with it.
The thing with public boards is you can't always get what you want.
So I'll give you both a serious answer and a "smart-ass" answer.
Your initial description was "looking for a good ninja-addon" + a link to a mod that proved to be irrelevant to what you really wanted.
So the original post was seriously lacking.
Because it was lacking.. the first reply you got was along the lines of
Perhaps you could explain in detail what the addon does?
in a message that showed alot more effort to be clear than the one asking for help.
Now instead of trying to communicate your needs in a better manner... your posts descended from

In conclusion, you can kick back and relax now,
I think you've made enough friends to last you a lifetime already ;)

you were looking for something like http://www.realultimatepower.net/

1. The reason i got this angry is because (if you haven't noticed) i NEVER got a straight answer, just only "read the dam log", as i would NEVER request if i knew i didnt need it, dammit.
2. The person you are referring too... Who is it, exactly, who said that the addon doesnt exsist, w/o sarcastic words?
3. The reason he was more "mature" is because he didn't show any link of what he meant, but the question was the exact same and he got a good answer right away, so wth? How come you guys treat ppl differently, just because of such slight insight? I was polite and all from the start, but you guys never gave a straight answer at all and never answered it, just went on to make fun of me and never took it seriously, when i was... That's why i became like this, geeze...
And btw...

You didn't read it all, i see... I said that that was the closest addon i could find that has ANYTHING to do with ninjaing, so wth... I never said i wanted that addon updated...
So, sit down and figure out what you'd want the addon to do and then come back once you've figured it out.
An addon to gives you a simple "# passed, # greeded, # needed" is much different from an addon that looks at class, gear and spec and uses that to determine how someone should roll. There are lots of options in between those two extremes. Figure out what you want or don't want the addon to do.
There are way to many situations where gear that isn't "for" a class/spec for an addon to announce "Ninja!" I just ran an outlands instance with an epiced out priest, mid 60s feral druid and mid 60s ret pally. At the beginning of the run both the druid and pally said they were also working on healing sets as well as their "main" sets. A +healing BOE item dropped. The druid and pally greeded, other two passed and the priest needed. IMHO, the priest ninja'd the item. Why do I say that? It was *way* below the item they already had equipped. The priest was going to vendor the item, the druid and pally had a use for it. It would be way to complicated to write an addon to properly review this situation.
An addon that does something like "[PlayerX] Needed!" as an alert might make sense to you, but would be annoying to me. That info is already there in the chat window, and it's not like you can change your selection. Making it bigger wouldn't help or fix anything.
The sad news is that no matter what an addon does, it's too late as you can't change your selection. Master Looter is the way to go to avoid the entire problem.
Alright, i made a simple picture of what im looking for... didnt knew 100% how it would look like, but here is what i came up with:
The picture illustrates how it will look after a boss is dead and the roll has finished. My idea was that the window that looks kinda like this, so you dont have to look through 30 ppls rolls in the chatframe and check every dam roll they do...
and something that if others had that mod in your guild/raid/party, they could send each other ninja-database of their own findings of ninjas, so the addon alerts to not invite them to another party with you, in case you forget the name after like a month or so...

This is why, in my guild, we usually announce ninja's (who need on loot they can't use or can't use anymore), and I add them to my hand written list of known ninjas. People who suck in a dungeon/raid get noted too, just like people in BG who afk (well sorta, they just stay in the damn house where you spawn and wait til it's over, but they are actually at the keys)
The issue with such an addon, to predict ninja's, detect them, is that it's too dependable on situational events, as Samala indicated. Wheter or not someone is truly ninja'ing depends on what spec at times, depends on their current gear, it's not a black and white - it's just a mass of gray. An automated application will never be able to achieve it with good results. That's why we're all saying, monitor the combat log.
I also have another rule of thumb for PuGs, the rule is "Always greed, unless all members agree on a need roll" (eg. Only caster in the bunch, a BoP wand drops) I am usually in a party with the same guy, if a blue BoE drops (it did last night lol), we both roll greed. See where it goes, whether we can use it or not. If the other one needs it, we trade it. If it's BoP we discuss it, leave the roll frame open and then go for it :)
Happy?
Yes, that's all i need to hear... ty
at least SOMEONE is straight about this... geeze...
Applied to this case.
Enable Master-looter > /gkick after ninja.
