I was just about to whine for a macro mod again also.. 2.3 really made macro's a must for feral druids.. Basicly you need 1 macro for each potion you would want to take in each form. So in bear I have 1 for hs, 1 for healing pot, 1 for hs+healing pot, and 1 for ironshield. And for Cat i have the same, only mana instead of ironshield.
But I'll try looking into Trinity Bars, hopefully it'll solve my problems.
Well, I think SuperMacro works fine, minus a few bugs possibly, but as someone else explained, it is the action bars that limit the macro options. I turned on SuperMacro after installing Trinity and it seemed to work fine, I was able to creat a SuperMacro and drag it to my action bar, but the icon was not right. I think that may be Trinity though and not SuperMacro, I can't honestly say. Again though, personally, I am going to stick with Trinity as I prefer to run on as few mods as possible, and Trinity's features are very nice, they just need to be tweaked. I am going to continue to use them and try to help provide feedback so that it can get up and running like it should.
P.S. If you think Trinity Bars has alot of options (and it does, :P), try out FlexBar, lol. It uses scripting to setup everything (at least used to, it has been a while since I used it, couple of years even), but in return you can setup it up literally however you want, like its name implies it really is "flexible". But ya, I agree with you and even though I'm running Trinity Bars, I try to keep it simple these days and use as few of the options as possible (the same reason I don't use FlexBar anymore).

Oh I like Flexbars, a lot. Just gotta keep a full list of all the commands written out next to me lol.
More of an answer for extending macro character limit, did not say anything about having extra macro storage. But again, it would not matter since the action bars have to support them, and I believe the same goes for extended macro charcter space.
Supermacro still works for the most part. Most of the features still work(the better tooltip functions/automatic icon updating). The SuperMacros still work as well. The ones that let u use 7000 characters, which can also be used to have more macros(tho there is still a limit).
It just has so many bugs now because no one updates it anymore. If someone were to take it over, it could be back on top for macro addons again. (The LUA writer in SuperMacro writes the LUA u put into there into the savedvariables, allowing u to create any function and call it in a macro, without having to write extensive LUA code in macros, and supposedly still works).

At this point, my knowledge of lua and macro's is too limited to undertake something like this, I can cope with map addons, unitframes, things like SLTimex etc, but macro-addons (at least like that) seem out of my league at the moment. Sorry :(
yeah, apparently when the author stopped working on it, someone said on curse.com that they were going to try and update it, then a few weeks later he said he gave up because it was too complex :(
I have just recently discovered TrinityBars BETA version. It has a built in macro function that will allow you to have more than the 255 limit. This is the best I have seen so far and Maul, the author of the mod, is extremely helpful when, like me, you are stumped as to how to do stuff.
I realize this is not an aced mod but at least this can be a solution for you.
Hope this helps.
