And, i don't know if is possible, what about an addon that switch every X sec between gathering track and hunter's track (humanoid, beast..) saving the information on the minimap?
Ex: every 5 sec it switches to the herbs track for a few moments and in this moment saves the position of the herbs, return to humanoid tracks showing the position of the herbs?
It would be possible to switch tracking periodically, but you probably wouldn't want to in combat, because it activates the global cooldown. And if you want to save position data of herbs, get Gatherer or something. There's no Aced gatherer (there is an Aced Mapnotes, but I think it's the non-gathering version. There's no way to save the actual blips, those are handled internally by the game.
Basically the logic behind Gatherer is that if you're standing next to a herb and you're actually using the herb, it tries to guess where the herb is in relation to you and then it stores the herb, this is why Gatherer only adds a herb when you use it, as opposed to when you actually see one on the minimap.
In other words, without single-handled going to each and every dot on the minimap yourself and examining them to store them, there'd be no way to replicate what Gatherer does because that's exactly what Gatherer does. It's a good idea, it really is -- but it only works for gathering resources in my opinion.
