I was wondering if it is already possible through some Ace/Deuce voodoo to shift my player/pet unitframes left when I acquire a target and then put them back where they were when I lose a target. I keep my frames in the bottom center of my screen above my bars, but it has always annoyed me that my playerframe is offcenter when I have nothing targetted. Maybe I'm just weird, but it annoys the hell out of me lol.
Any help/tips/pointers/suggestions (other than don't be so friggin anal) would be appreciated! :)
That would be possible and relatively painless to do right now.
The catch is that it will no longer be possible to automatically move unitframes while in combat once burning crusade comes out.
This is because the ability to move a given frame based on a condition would make an effective workaround for decursive-style mods-- just move the debuffed or hurt person's frame under the cursor and you've got the same automation!
actually. i think it might be possible with the stance change headers. have the player frame be a child frame and the target frame be another frame. In state 0 where there is no target, have the offset be 0. In state 1 where there is a target, have the offset be 100 or something like that. Seems to me that it MIGHT be possible :-)
It should work fine, I can't think of any reason you'd grab a target, get into combat, and then want to run around w/no target while still in combat, so it should be pissible to get the effect you want.
