I just noticed that Saien (author of Autobar) has left the game and thus is no longer updating any of his addons. I really like Autobar and just don't have time to tinker with that sort of thing myself, so I thought I'd make a suggestion here.
I think most of his other addons have similar functionality done by other authors, but I haven't ever seen anyone else do anything like Autobar.
Autobar (as well as the rest of his mods) is no longer available for download at his site, so I'm also happy to supply a zip of the latest I have (post 1.10) for anyone who'd like to see it.
Would be awesome. The really old Autobars were great. Once there come more and more items, Autobar became more complex as well, becoming a piece of tripe in the process.

Have you thought any more on this bugger... I do hope you are... I am much missing the featurs of Autobar (as it has become quite buggy since the lack of support).
Just curious, and figured Id prod ya with a hot poker to see if its still on your huge to do list.
I'm still hoping one of the Ace developers will create a true AutoBar replacement. evl's Consumer is a good idea, but I think it could be vastly improved. The macro system is extremely limiting and any bar filled with macros will not dynamically grow/shrink to accomodate changing inventory, which is one of the biggest features of Saien's AutoBar (IMHO).
Could Tablet be used to create a dynamically growing/shrinking bar?
Default behavior could search for any consumables or clickies (ie mount, hearthstone) in inventory (via PeriodicTable) and populate the bar. Of course users would need the ability to re-order the position of items and add/delete items from their bars. Perhaps PeriodicMenu could be embedded to assist with this.

A sleek, Ace'd Autobar would be great.
It's been on my list for a looooooooooooooooooooong time. It's one of the ideas I designed PT around.

I haven't tried it much, I just stopped using AutoBar and use a ghost bar instead because Saien stopped working on it.
