Tried the AG raid frames last night. They're almost perfect for me. I really like the debuff indicator but I think they're showing if people are debuffed, whether or not I can cure them. If it's not simply a setting I haven't discovered, I'd like to see that changed to showing only debuffs I can cure. Also, an indicator as to which healer is has the soulstone and Divine Intervention invulnerability.
Incorporating the class colours into the healthbars themselves is great.
mh - old thread - but i still tell it:
i had perfect raid and now you can see in the who is missing a mark and to buff the unit without one i had assigned a mouse key in ace heal to motw. works fine and for the lazy moments i'm using corkfu
more then 10 times i gave squishy a try - but in a 40 man raid where to much suffering damage, it's too.. err ..fast und quickly.
for example the cthun fight: everone suffers a bit of damage and it's about the same amount, so the squishy bar of the person i want to heal jumps 5 times up and down before i manage to target him. in addtion i know the postion and tasks of the most groups during a boss fight and so i can see if they are in range or not, but i never watch the names and squishy gives me only the names and health, but not the postion or a indicator if it's the important maintank or a shaman :P.
squishy is a TOO perfect emergency monitor; too fast - too furious :) and i'm a lazy drood
but i will give squishy a try in each new boss fight (even i know i standby it after first try)
squishy for only the tanks would be nice (that you can choose class and group which schould be shown)
okay this here it not the squishy topic - i'm going to stop with my bad english :D
I use Squishy mostly in BGs
And at bossfight where I am to lazy to see who is in range and who not (onyxia).
Now im leading raids and stuff, my brain works like for 20% for healing so I just clickheal the squishy frame every now and then :P to not end up as the worst healer on the meters :D
...squishy gives me only the names and health, but not the postion or a indicator if it's the important maintank or a shaman :P.
Well, you do know the names are colored by class, right? Also you could target the unit you want to heal first, and then choose the spell. Or, if you're lazy, use a script to target the unit with the highest priority and cast a spell on it.
hehe. jeah that's right maia.
but first i'm using aceheal most of the raid fights and i'm using it direct on the praid frame (or in the example squishy), so i don't get the person i want to heal in my target.
then comes the second thing; i want to see how much the target is being healed. squishy shows me if the person is being healed or not, but not what heal with what health-amount is being casted (there i know the ace codex "as simple as possible" and so it's understandable that this would break the limits for an raid addon to show it or who cast the spell). so i have to target on squishy frame an click cast on the target frame and this is one click more. it's only one click, but i'm not casting one heal in a 10minutes bossfight. so it faster for me to direct cast over the praid/squishy frame.
but the squishy bar of a person jumps, as i mentioned, quickly up and down in bossfights, so it is very difficulty to heal on my discripted way - clickcast and take a look if the person will be healed. but praid frames are always at the same postion, so i can clickcast, look for a new wounded person and still see the clickcast's target.
i think this is the cause why i don't use squishy, but as i said i always give it a try to see the changes :)
roac, I then suggest to increase the number of max visible units from 10 to e.g. 15 or even more - because the more units you have visible at once, the less they will be resorted (because as long someone has aggro and/or is damaged, he's on the list, but he won't be resorted as long as he's one of the 10/15/... units that need a heal).
hehe, nice idea, but if i try 15 why not 40? like praid.
if i would increase to 15 for better overview it's the same like the one more click^^ - i've to watch 10 bars more (if i will use squishy) and that's a bit more time. i like it clean.
the only compromis at the moment is praid sorting by heal (which is in the command list but doesn't work)
because an emergency monitor should show me 3-5 persons who need the most important heal (that can squishy do), but the way the squishy filter works is not what i need. a filter for classes and/or groups which i can easy manage in game would be nice for me.
for example i would remove rouges from my squishy at all (because rouges in my guild can manage their selfheal well and in emergency they call in teamspeak for heal).
or an other suggestion were a (optional) secondary column of bars and the option to set for each column a own filter (so you can for example make one squishy for all your healers and one for all warriors)
i think of the rainding mod "rdx" where you can creat own emergency frames which can show mana and/or health arrange by "mp/hp %", their defict or live amount. an in addtion there's a filter system where you can hide players of determined classes and/or groups, players o.o.range, players who are over/under/between a setted amount of what the bar show, death one's,... . okay, i know it's a bit much, but you can arrange it easy by yourself. the big problem is, all other functions of rdx like bossmods or buff/debuffing is a lot of big trash and uses more memory like everything else. so it's not an opition for me but the way i want to have.
i'm an absolutly beginner in programming at all and so modding exsisting mods is hard for me. i think if i had some more knowledge, i would rewrite the squishy filter for my main use, but i can't. :( so i set my full hope into the sweet ace community to help me out :D to increase and increase the healing per second)
omg so much english i must stop with my terrible writing :D hope the text is understandable
