I use a stripped down version of bibmod, i deleted everything but the tooltip achor, and buffbar mover code.
i also use afft extreme tooltips, w/ those combine, i get a unique setup, as all my player toolitps hover over the mouse, and all the actionbar/anything else goes to bibs anchor, i would like to see a mod that does all that in one, and ace'd.
there is nothing i want in reactips.
i've not tried tipster yet, but there isn't anything in the description that hints at grabing player tips to the mouse, while all other tips get achnored to that fixpos.
Tipster hijacks the default tooltips or any tooltips you specify, eg. /Tipster add AddonName.
yes i get that. but does it have the ability to position per type of tooltip/ (IE when i hover over a player, i want the tooltip to achor to the mouse, while EVERY other tip achored to a point - right under my minimap.
This one does alot of what many other tt addons do, but it just seemed a bit more stripped down to me. Also, no GUI means immediate system resource savings. Check it out and see if it's a fit for you, until we Ace a tooltip addon. :D
IMHO, anything is better than TipBuddy and AF_Tooltip for the "move over bacon, now there's somthin' leaner!" approach.
Actually, I would recommend SimpleTip(redux) found on Curse Gaming. But since Curse is the hellspawn to which there is no return, and it sucks so bad that the asbestos falls off the ceiling from the nieghbors house, I will fore-go providing a link for this. MAN CURSE LOAD TIME SUCKS!
i was checking out the description at simpletips page, it has two commands moveto and anchor, does that imply (as i didn't feel he implied) that you can set unit tips location different from non-unit tips? b/c thats the whole reason i made this post, otherwise i'd just use turans tipster mod.
As far as I'm aware, no. Hijacking the tooltip once is enough re-drawing IMO. To do it twice? That's going to munch away at resources, I'm sure. And my 64MB of video ram are far to precious for that. LOL.
And I believe the information on Moveto and anchor are a bit off, as both of them do the same thing I believe. "/stip moveto bottomleft" also anchors the tooltip there.
