Hi there, getting this error (pasted below) that means I can't use any weak auras. I am using the latest version of Weak Auras2. If anyone has any suggestions as to what is causing this it would be very much appreciated. I have tried deleting the WA folders from the addons folder and then putting fresh ones there but this doesn't help.
Thanks in advance.

If this started happening after you imported (or created) a new aura that's where you should start by removing it.
If the error goes away there was some issue with the aura settings or custom code if any.
In any case removing the addon folder won't do anything.
Backup your saved variables instead in WTF\<your_account>\SavedVariables\WeakAuras*.lua before you start messing with Auras.
99 times out of 100 errors in WeakAuras come from badly constructed user auras, especially if they contain custom Lua.
The issue now is that non of my auras show or work and I can't see to remove any of the recently imported ones that might have caused the problem. Is there anyway to reset weak auras to "factory settings", or some other way to clear the cache?
You can reset it yes but not piecemeal.
If you remove the WeakAuras.lua and WeakAurasOptions.lua files found inside the WTF\<your_account>\SavedVariables\ folder the addon will completely reset (meaning you'll have to re-import or re-create all your auras from scratch).
Back up those files before you remove them if you have many auras. (so you have a chance to get them back in the future if you find time to look through specific auras)
This also needs to be done while exited from WoW (the game doesn't acknowledge new or removed saved variables files while running).
I have exited the game but it appears my Saved Variables folder is completely empty, which seems strange. This would explain why the auras disappeared but I have no idea how this happened nor what I do next.
If you use the 64-bit client, WoW creates random empty folders in the wrong place inside the WTF folder structure. No idea how Blizzard can screw that up in the first place and then just be unable to fix it for years, but at least it doesn't actually break anything. Just ignore the empty folders and double-check your folder paths, or just use the search function to find the saved variables file for a particular addon.
