I've been trying to fix this, but it's been a fail attempt every time, i think i have came to a good hypothesis though.... The problem has to be within the timing/registering event part of the code, because toward's the last maybe, 30-40 of AB, the flag cap timer's start showing.
If anyone has any info on how to fix it, or how to start fixing it, it would very very very AWESOME lol. I really would like to know the timer's on the flag's in this Battleground.
and a new official release every three weeks or so.
Last one was 27Oct. Today is 20Dec. People are still complaining on the DBM forums about bugs in 5-player instances which have supposedly fixed in the development code long ago, but nobody feels like releasing because the raid bosses aren't fully timed yet, sigh.
On the other hand, the most recent alpha had syntax errors (!), which about kills my confidence in how much testing goes into them. Industry coders joke about "it compiles, ship it!" but DBM alphas don't even do that. ><
Their front page is, frankly, pointless to go by. I've no idea why they don't keep it relevant or up to date.
What, then, is the latest release? Betas? They don't list them at all. Alphas? Hell no.
ETA: "official" was the wrong word to use, but DBM is far from not "updated for a couple months".
Hm? http://www.deadlybossmods.com/downloads.php lists 4.64-r4605 as the latest release. The forums say the same. The package file lists it as from late October. Where are you getting a non-alpha release more recent than two months ago?
If they have a more up to date *full* release, then it's certainly not obvious. And frankly, if they don't care enough to keep it up to date, I don't care enough to go digging for whatever you consider to be the "real" version.
My point was that DBM has been updated since a "couple months ago". And I clarified that official was the wrong word to use. I also said that their front page is woefully inadequate. I also didn't mention anything about a "real" version.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what you're arguing about, or for.
If they did update it, from the version i have, they didn't update much, i went through, comparing file's, and out of all the one's i checked, they were the same as the one's i've had since early October.
My response was to the "official release every three weeks" line, which as far as I can tell is complete fiction. I am trying to figure out where you're seeing these updates, because I would very much like to use them. If you didn't mean official, then what *do* you mean? The alphas? Are there betas posted? Where are these usable updates? It's not meant to be an argument; I'm trying to understand what you're talking about.
The alphas. While not being "official", they're completely usable beyond the occasional error thrown out -- which is ironed out within a couple days. If you're hung up on my use of a word that I've already taken back, then I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do.
Also, saying that DBM hasn't been updated in a couple months gives the impression that it's been abandoned or left by the wayside. From my impression, neither is remotely true.
