I used to have an addon that monitored the addon channels (specifically probably the raid channel) and fed them to a chat window. I can't seem to find it now. Does anyone know of a decent one?
I'm trying to get around installing an addon my guild is now requiring because of poor addon design on the part of another addon. Apparently someone can't be bothered to code a simple whisper control and requires an entire addon to communicate a single word to it. Absurd. I don't need a several thousand line addon with multiple embedded frameworks to do something I can do with a one line macro, especially while I'm already riding the razor thin line of raiding performance as it is. I just need to know when to hit the macro. I figure an addon to show data I'm already receiving would be much more lightweight.
local addonmsg = CreateFrame("Frame", "ViewAddonMessageFrame")
local function printMsg(_, _, prefix, msg, type, sender)
If nobody runs carbonite &dotimer it is rather silent these days, wim2wim communication is ranked 3d and 4 place is libhealcomm, at least thats my personal experience. But there used to be a lot more noise.
You can see the content of a message if you use the print-to-chattab.option in asfu, although i must admit that it scrolls very fast if there are many messages and you might miss the one youre looking for.
