I've reinstalled WoW and installed a few addons, but the two Ace-based addons- Recount and Omen- don't appear to be working in any way. /recount and /omen do nothing. Is there anything in particular that would prevent Ace addons from working?
Do you get any error messages while loading? (Turn on Lua errors in your interface options if they aren't already.)
If nothing is printed in-game, look in the Logs\FrameXML.log for errors. This is often where you find things like "file not found", which will point the way to whatever installation problem is causing the errors.
Interface\AddOns\Omen\Omen.lua:21:Cannot find a library instance of "AceAddon-3.0".
I tried downloading and installing Ace3 from Curse, exiting and reentering WoW. This eliminates the startup error, but has no other apparent effect. I don't understand what the issue is- I've never known Omen or Recount to require any additional downloads, or not simply work on a fresh install.
And I was just clicking the big button then hitting "manual install", same method as here. Those downloads didn't have the libraries and didn't work, while the downloads I got from this site do have the libraries and work effortlessly. No idea why the downloads I was getting from Curse weren't coming with the libraries included.
If you use the Curse Client, click Manage Games at the left, and select either with libs or without. Methinks you have it set to no libs, and I have found the odd addon here and there that doesn't grab the libraries separately, and I have to download the libs manually.

Edit: Just got them off this site. I didn't realize the versions on Curse don't come with the necessary libs; what good does that do anyone?

Curse Premium& also, the are not "Ace" addons, they are just addons. The only "Ace" addon is just that "Ace3" :)
