I know quite a few people sent Tekkub their quest information using the recorder. I have a feeling he is going to wait a while to make it available to the public though. He doesn't want to encourage mindless questing unless you have already done it before.

While I see his point, I don't think him not adding the guides will prevent people from looking for (and getting) guides.
They will just turn to another addon. Not publishing may also cause people to stop recording, as they don't see their output.
There are already free guides available on the net, very detailed even, so if this is the real reason it is kinda losing ground ;)
I for example need to rush through the content, guild requires raiding starting asap, so no way around it - guides, no reading of the quests, just knowing the objectives, etc, but I have other characters, and on 2nd I will level properly, following the lore
It looks like horde didn't get much love, once again. I really wish I would have used Tekkub's recorder when I was leveling up my Death Knight on the beta. I didn't know about it until it was too late.
I have horde data, I've just not sat down and started pounding out guides for it yet. I'm somewhat partial to it, I'd like to know beforehand that wrath will be like TBC where all the ally and horde quests were the same except for the quest text and a few faction-unique quests (like the thrall story).
If they are the same, it'll be fairly short order to use the ally guides' order and rework it for the horde quests.
The alliance data @ the git is good up to dragonblight, it goes dead ~10 quests in
Yes, this is a problem right now with Dragonblight. As well, any zone beyond Dragonblight does not load. Only Borean Tundra & Howling Fjord work without problems (for Alliance).
I filed a ticket about it on Tekkub's Google Code issues tracker two days ago. Tekkub's response: "They will be done when they are done. There's really no point in reporting bugs in them until I push out officially releases." :D. Those Dragonblight-and-on bugged guides have been in that state since early October; assumed when it was moved to Master that bug reports would be appreciated ;).
Do you have any (ballpark area) idea when you will be making the guides? Leveling my alts to 70 I realy loved your Tourguide addon but now even for my alts starting to 80 there's no Tourguide yet.
I might hold of on the alt levelign just so I can start with a proper guide but if you're thinking weeks to push any updates out.. *cry*
Anyway, late guides or not.. many thanks for the great guides up to lvl 73 :)
Here I finished a complete Horde 70-71 Howling Fjord guide. There is a popular guide online that I followed as I quested in order to make it (and changed it up a few places to make it even more optimized). Tekkub please feel free to use it in your official release!
Some of you might know the great leveling addon http://www.tekkub.net/addons/TourGuide
Could anybody tell me if it will get wotlk guides until the release of the addon?

Tekkub can you comment?

As for the git site, too bad the only Horde data there is for Howling Fjord.
I've been trying to use QuestHelper as an alternative to Tourguide. It's quite nice, but man is it a memory hog. 15-20 megs all by itself.
I'll be working on a Borean Tundra guide after that.
The Borean Tundra & Howling Fjord ones included in the Github Master branch of TourGuide work just fine. At least for Alliance.

Anyway, look forward to seeing them updated.
I'm working on a Horde version. The Horde guide on that branch is just raw recorder data.

Working on Borean Tundra guide next!
