That little screw which sits around Minimap will not seem to keep its position, or keep settings (aka Don't display on Minimap etc) - Tried various logouts/logins but keeps reverting back to default.

Anyone have a fix?
I have exactly the same problem. I don't want the screw button showing in the minimap but if I disable it and then log off and log on again it ignores my setting (and shows on the minimap again).
? you do know how ck set up rock lib to save that setting? it's prolly totally borked in 3.0 ; looking back over where those setting "should" be saved (being that i use a rock addon) they are not there. Try installing LibRock-1.0
separately
This damn "screw" minimap button not keeping is hidden setting is the only thing missing in my UI. All my other addons are already working fine now after the patch.
To be honest the process actually went smoothly as the only addons that I had to redo the settings were SLDataText and Prat (their data structure prolly changed).

bump for a fix, plz !!!!
The Rock framework is abandoned if I remember well... (but you can put that button on FuBar)
To get to the addon preferences if you have fubar 3.0 right click on your fubar bar to open its preferences, click the drop down menu in the upper left corner of the window, then select addon preferences with the screw icon.
Right-click a FuBar bar. Click the drop-down on the left. Choose "Addon Preferences". There's an option there to put it on the minimap; uncheck that option.
You can't disable it, it contains the configuration settings for all (well, not all, but most) Ace2 addons.
Not really a fix, but a workaround for those of us that found the "screw" directly on top of the standard tracking button: MinimapButtonFrame.
Pretty sure I got it off Curse. It collects all the buttons under one button that can be moved (and seems to stay put). I was planning on using it until a fix was found, but I think I might keep it.

How'd you move it to fubar?
Or anyway I can disable the darn thing?
Edit: tried everything I could and no go.

Well, than you must have an older version of fubar or something, because I can't put it on Fubar.

I'm not using FuBar so it must be some other addon I have that has the "Addon Preferences" embedded. Maybe Cartographer, dunno
Done :)
However, I have no clue how to fix this. Perhaps edit the savedvariables?
