Some are marked outdated with an 7xxxx and 8xxxx version number and which are just 2 days old and some addons that needs the above addons are marked outdated, too. There are some >1 year addons that are not marked as outdated.
At the moment these plugins do their work, but what when they will stop to work? Any suggestions?
EDIT: Funny, when I use my original WoW install, there is no line through addons and nothing is marked as outdatet, only with my second WoW install WAU shows the outdated line through stuff.
StopTheSpam still works according to what I've read on the forums here, eePanels2 is still very active as is shown from forum posts as well. HatTrick and Squeenix, both I've used very recently and work.
The outdated mark in WAU indicates the toc interface number afaik, so no worries. As long as they work, you're fine. I see little reason why any would break in the very near future. However, with WOTLK at our doorstep, many addons will break. Trust upon the authors of said addons to fix it, or alternatives will pop up.
Good addons deserve at least a TOC bump to let people know the author still cares and is watching for bugs that might pop up.
Edit: I need to check out Squeenix. I'm looking for a good, actively maintined minimap replacement for Chinchilla that doesn't use Ace2 or Rock. BasicMinimap and MiniMapster are usable but sparse and quirky and not really maintained. Squeenix looks promising.
