Are there branches for WoTLK and you need SVN to download them or how do I find compatible addons?

You need SVN to download branches, unless authors uploaded wotlk versions on the wotlk section on wowinterface.

And there no was to get the WoTLK ace3 without getting an account, right? Fisheye doesn't want to give me a zip, tgz or tbz2 of anything.

edit: silly me, you get them from svn.wowace.com, dev.wowace.com is for the dev's and requires an account

You can either checkout with an SVN client, or download each file by hand through your web browser. Neither require an SVN account. Both would be done with this URL:

http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/branches/

Navigate to Ace3 and to the appropriate branch.
