My UI is almost complete, but one thing that continues to nag me is how much space I have to use on my action bars for items I rarely need, or only need in very specific circumstances. For example, potions linked to an instance (like the CE and TK ones), flasks linked to an instance, different judgements (light, wisdom, etc.), or even Mana Biscuits vs. the SSO rations.
While I don't know what an addon is physically capable of, in a perfect world I'd like something that plops on to one of my slots on my action bar (or at least would appear to) and I would click it to open an expandable menu. For example, I'd click a potion icon and I could choose which potion to use. I'd like it to have almost perfect synergy with my existing action bars, because if I start throwing around extra menus and such all over my UI I'm not going to end up gaining any space.
Either that, or a mod that would be able to detect the zone I'm in and change my action bar buttons accordingly. For example, it would detect that I'm in TK and would change the potion icons to those of the TK-specific potions. Or it would detect whether or not I have mana biscuits to use, and if I don't it would use the SSO rations (I do know I can do this with a macro, but the problem I have with that is the tooltip, I like to see how much food I have).
Autobar might. PT3Bar maybe.
Look into Buffet, it doesn't detect zones. But the rest it does. Prioritized conjured food over bought food. Buff foods you'll have to manually eat. On combat hp pots and mana pots show. On Shift, you can bandage yourself.
But perhaps, zonewise, when you enter that zone, drag it to your bar, otherwise take it out. Flasks/Elixers etc you usually use after death or after 30/1/2hrs. Open your bag and do it that way.
HOWEVER, for the AutoMP, I'd like for it to show Mana Potions out of combat AND in combat, instead of just in. I always use Mana Biscuits or SSO rations anyway, and many times I need to use a mana pot outside of combat. How would I do that?
speed runs. You take 3 healers, 2 heal, 1 sits and drinks. That sitter gets full mana, the healer with lowest mana sits and drinks, the other keeps on going. Etc. Don't waste your mana pots ooc, they're too costly for that (at least on my servers, 6G)
For ZA? My runs take 2 healers, and clear all four chests with ~5 minutes to spare. On my server 4-chest runs are pugged daily. No potions OOC or sitting and drinking required. Bring a shadow priest and/or a resto shaman. :P
Yeah, we have a stupid server it seems. PUGs aren't as common with us, and when they are, we get shit like "leave the druid in treeform in the caster dps group for better dps" (Which is a WTF moment there, a moonkin, yeah I'd understand that, but the TREE???)
