I use almost exclusively Ace addons. After one of the recent patches I noticed that I no longer get the nifty pop-up text that shows quest status. (When you have to kill or collect a certain number of items/Mobs/whatever, One of my Ace mods used to pop-up a static message similar to a SCT warning message that showed how many you have vs how many total to complete the quest. Once the quest was done it would pop up another message.) The messages were colored red when you only had a small amount, yellow when you were about halfway, and green when you were close to being finished.
I have no idea what mod this was that did that, but it happens no more.
Also there is some other mod that says the word "fatality" in a high pitched voice whenever something is wrong. (what mod that is or how I look up the errors is beyond me). So every time I Collect an item or kill a mob for a quest, I get that fatality voice.
Not sure if this is related at all, but one of the mods also has a voice message in the old horde warcraft style that says things like "More Work?" and "Job's Done!". This still works.
So my question is, How do I make the pop up text come back? And how do I look at whatever errors causes that "Fatality" voice message?
Parser-3.0 is a library used prior to patch 2.4.0 for combat log parsing. It was widely used in addons that handle combat log messages such as SCT, Parrot, Omen, SimpleCombatLog, etc, and pretty much anything combat log related.
Since patch 2.4.0, the combat log system has been revamped and as such Parser-3.0 is now a deprecated library. One of your addons has either been abandoned (such as SimpleCombatLog because it no longer works or is no longer needed), or has not been updated by the author (meaning it is abandoned by the author), or you have not updated your addons.
I highly suggest you find out which addon is attempting to use Parser-3.0, and get rid of it as soon as possible because it has been 2 months since patch 2.4.0, and any addon still using it is clearly abandoned. This may involve deleting Parser-3.0 and disabling addons until you find the culprit. Parser-3.0 has been broken silently since 2.4.0, but only until 2.4.2, did an actual Blizzard change really cause errors in it.
Are you using QuestsFu? If you are make sure you have the proper settings checked, you can also check some of the other messaging addons if you have them like SCT. I wish I could give you one of my messages I have the problem where it shows up in duplicate every time but can't find where to turn the second one off yet.
