Uhh... pretty much exactly what I said in my last post. Or you could... download it... and install it... and log in.. and see what it does. It's not going to leap out of your computer and gnaw your face off. :P
Like FishingAce, it temporarily binds double-right-click to cast Fishing when you equip a fishing pole.
Unlike FishingAce, it correctly clears the temporary binding if you enter combat with your fishing pole equipped, so you're not stuck being unable to use your normal right-click binding on the WorldFrame (by default, turning your character) for the duration of combat. (I discovered this bug in FishingAce once after fishing up Lurker; that wasn't a fun fight.)
The FishermansFriend options read:
Turn on Auto Loot when fishing.
Automatically apply the best lure to your fishing pole.
Enhance sounds for fishing.
As i never saw an official post for FishermanFriend, i will use this to report this:
Here is how things should work:
Loot window appear
Fish is looted
Line is recast
Sometimes, when i doubleclick on the fishing (bobber?):
Loot window appears
Line is recast
Yes, the fish isnt looted, lost in a black hole.
I didn't find any way to "reproduce" this, only happens sometimes, and this is
2. sometimes annoying when you loose a good fish
3. really annoying when it happens lots of times during BB championship :p
That's not a bug in FishermansFriend, that's a consequence of simple latency and your own impatience in casting again before the server has completed processing your request to pick up the items. Starting a new cast of Fishing renders the old loot results nonexistent (fishing results are not a corpse laying on the ground that you can just click again to re-access after you've closed the window), so by the time the server receives and processes your looting, there's nothing to loot anymore. The same thing can happen with FishingAce, or even while fishing without an addon.
Also, if you want to keep discussing FishermansFriend, you should start a new thread, since this one is not a likely place for anyone to look for posts about it. Just entitle it "FishermansFriend - UNOFFICIAL".
