Ok ive used gathermate2 for a time after sometime it stopped to show herbs as yellow spots on minimap it still shows herb locations as a green circle but in suramar its really very hard to find herbs as their spawn location is random and generally herbs are behind teres and etc. i tried to delete addon from addons folder and replace it with a new one but its still broken is that a change blizzard made? or do you know about this bug? or how can i completely delete the gathermate2 from my computer i guess it keeps its data in another folder that i have no idea about its path.
I haven't used Gathermate in quite some time, but...
The yellow circles on your minimap are provided by the default UI. Be sure that you are tracking your herbs (click the magnifying glass icon on your minimap to open the tracking menu). If you have it checked, and don't see a yellow circle, then there is no herb there at the moment (someone else collected it). If you have it checked and don't see a yellow circle, but *do* see an herb, then something is off with your minimap tracking blips - which may be the result of an addon incorrectly replacing the textures, or a bug with your game client.
All Gathermate does is show you where herbs/nodes can spawn.
The herbs, mines, fish, mana crystals, etc, etc are not in random places. They spawn in the exact same locations every time. That does not mean that any given node is active, and no addon can tell you when a node goes active. You have to actually go to the location to look for yourself.
Yes, Suramar is really bad for locations that are easy to find. Azsuna is worse with Aethril, as there are a few nodes of those that are under rocks and trees.
Yes, data is saved elsewhere, and not in the addon folders themselves. For GatherMate2, it is stored in World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\your_account_name\SavedVariables. You are looking for a file called GatherMate2.lua. If you delete that, it will reset the addon.
For some reason I see all the possible spots for chests on the mini map but active nodes do not show up as yellow any more. Mining and herb nodes show up fine on mini map. Maybe I just thought you could see treasure chests on mini map.
Gathermate classic is showing active mining nodes for my 2 miners, but does not show active herbing nodes in outlands or Azshara--just lots of empty circles even though I'm eyeballing an herb right in front of me.
Have deleted addon and data and all my addons and added gathermate back but still does not show active herbing nodes--just an empty circle.

You can't see Legion chests because they haven't been added to GM2 or GM2_Data. I use HandyNotes and a Legion chest plugin for those.
