The Missing Dependency check is only for WoWAce Addons and because of this it uses a couple of files from the WoWAce site to identify what the dependencies are. In the case of Sorren Timers there is an earlier version on WoWAce which has Parser-3.0 as a dependency, this is why it is being flagged at the moment.
Seems an odd design decision to make, but never mind. Thanks for the info. :-)
Ignore it I can do. Or turn it off. Hmm. Just out of curiousity, why should it make any difference where the addons WUU checks for this come from? Isn't it more a question whether the toc file is properly formatted and completed? Or is something else going on?
This is an odd one. I have Sorren's Timers from WoWI installed. Whenever I do a one button update, WUU tells me that ST is missing a dependency - Parserlib-3.0. But ST no longer uses that lib, and it's not listed as a dep or optdep. So where is WUU getting this idea, and how do I tell it to get its act together? :-)
This is odd: last couple of times WUU has tried to get the "Daily Quest Tracker" addon (folder name "Dailies") from WoWI, it failed with a "file is not a zip file" error *after* downloading the file - which is a zip file. Not sure what's going on there. After the failure, it reported the addon as having been updated, and updated the version tag. I downloaded dailies.zip manually (and Mac OS X unpacked it with no problem) and compared the file dates on dailies.lua and dailies.toc and confirmed that the update didn't happen, so I did it myself. Shouldn't have to do that, though. :(
1. A warning that the online version of WUU is 1.6.520. This has been going on for a while now - and I've noticed that WUU no longer tries to update itself automatically. Not a big deal, really, just a curiousity.
2. 4 libs (Debuglib, Configator, Babylonian, Slidebar) are consistently flagged as missing, even though they are in fact in the aucAdvanced:Libs folder. I suppose this may have something to do with having "Wowace- use noext addons" checked in the prefs, even though AucAdvanced isn't a wowace addon, and has not been disembedded. The libs are listed in the main addon list in wuu, which I suppose is why they get listed as missing. iirc, if I delete them from the listing, WUU just puts them back, though. I suppose I could mark them as ignore instead of related (their current status). <shrug>
3. Hm. Just noticed the "Allow WUU beta version" checkbox in the prefs. I suppose if I check that the warning in 1. will go away. :-)
I downloaded QuestHelper manually from curse, and then edited the site id info, and then tried to smartupdate it. Wouldn't update. I tried using WUU's database for site id info, and it give the correct id (9924), but when I try to update, I get this error:
On another note, in another forum I suggested WUU, somebody tried it and said he had problems with it "updating" addons he had installed long ago just to try out, and then deleted. He inferred that WUU is looking in the wtf folder to determine what addons need to be updated - which would imply a need to delete associated files from that folder whenever you delete an addon. Is this the case?
