The automatic dependency check is nice in theory, but currently, it just spams me with stuff that is not an issue. For example, it complains about every single lib from Ace3. It complains about missing AbacusLib when I have LibAbacus-2.0 installed. Would be nice if there were a way to tell WUU to ignore certain dependencies.
Update to my last post: WUU recorded the latest version for Bongos, even though it never downloaded it. What I mean is: it is not just a visual glitch, it really thinks that I have the latest version installed now. :)
Some bug: Bongos3 is currently awaiting approval from a file admin on wowi. So you do not get the file directly, but a popup where you can choose the version to download. WUU doesn't understand that, and gives me
2008-04-27 18:16:40: (ERROR) Installation of Bongos failed: File is not a zip file
2008-04-27 18:16:40: (INFO) Bongos is updated to 20080427
This is plain wrong, because nothing was updated, but it appears green in the list after that. :)
I enabled debug messages, but all that did was telling me where the setting are stored. I just deleted those and set the same options as before. But now it is working nicely. Seems I had a borked settings file? Too bad I did not make a backup of that one. :)
Are you running with or without threads? (See preferences)
Was running with threads, if I disable that, it stops earlier. Stops as soon as it reaches the first non-wowace addon. In this case, that's ActionBarSaver from wowi. Only gets versions for !BugGrabber, Ace2 and Ace3, which are the 3 addons from wowace that come before it.
Don't have the windows firewall running, using Sygate. But will see hwo it goes with that disabled.
Edit: Just the same. No firewall, and it still stops after ErrorMonster. Same with the latest 1.6 version, btw. Log does not tell me anything, either. Also, I can't update the few addons where WUU got the version. It tells me that addons are queued for update, and then nothing happens.
More problems... WUU won't even do a full version check anymore. It loads the wowace version data, but stops at "E" (ErrorMonster). For stuff from wowi or curse, no versions are gathered at all. Event log does not tell me anything...

But if I paste those URLs into my webbrowser, I can download those without problem...
It actually starts earlier. I just downloaded the latest beta again, installed it an started it:

And another thing: The list you get when you choose Addon->Install from->WoWAce is not really sorted alphabetically. Most of them are in order, but some are not. There is all the TinyTip addons in order for example, but after them comes "Checklist2". After that it is more addons starting with "T" until you get to all the TweakHub addons. Those are directly followed by GridAutoFrameSize.
Also, in said list, it would be really nice to see the date of the last update, or at least the current revision number.

And funny enough, the addon list has an entry for pMap after that. With known online version and unknown local version... could you please make WUU not pretend that it succeeded when it actually failed? I hate lieing software. ;)
How about adding an option where we can simply specify the unpacker and the command line options to be used?
