... sence we're talking about opinions.. here is mine from more of a customer service side :P
The Majority of people that come here fir the first time usualy don't know enough of what they are looking at to form an opinion that is going to be viable or useful even to themselfs. Asking others that have a well formed opinion will often give those that are new the experiance to be able to know what their looking at.
So Telling people that ask "Whats a good unit frame addon if im cooming X-pearl" to go fk off and look for themselfs is not a good answer. instead telling them to look at ag_UF or PitBull, and THEN telling them to figure it out from there. Just better experiance, IMHO best not to poke people in the eye when you don't have to.
I so agree. Most of you guys are pretty cool cats to each other but SOME of you are real jack asses to strangers for what appears to be really elitist reasons. Everyone is a newb at some point and the guy you shait on today is the guy you might need help from in the future.
I use Parrot that I've tweaked in the config. I use Blizzards default target damage, but show important stuff in Parrot's outgoing scroll like blocked/dodged/resisted special attacks. Also a bunch of other small tweaks that focuses on what I think is important to see on screen.
But I'm having big problems with profiles for alts, and really don't like to redo everything especially since the configuration is a bit awkward. So I might try MSBT now even if it means reworking everything again.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a combat mod that will allow me to watch for specfic combat events and place them somewhere on my screen? I'm not terribly interested in the scrolling damage/healing functionality so much as I am the custom triggers (ala Parrot's or SCT lua edit) which fires a custom text message based on a spell event.
Looking for the lowest cpum/mem weight possible ;/
