In my naive-first-post-from-random-uninformed-possibly-no-probably-mentally-challenged-user opinion, I offer this follow half-baked-ill-thought-out-far-too-hyphenated solution:
Ace2 framework separated from Ace2 libraries
Ace2 libraries modified to be framework independent
WowAce be renamed to something without Ace in it, and support Ace, Dongle, nonframework AddOns
Avoid framework specific subforums so as to prevent splits
Replace -Ace2- tags with -<New WowAce Name>- tags
Kill Ann Coulter
But then again, it's exceptionally easy to offer suggestions when all you really have (on a lucky day) is a vague notion of what is actually going on.
making the Lib's Framework independiant might be worth looking into for SOME of the libs but im not sure it would work too well. Parser for Example might do OK w/o the Ace Framework.. then again i just might be smoking pot too..

Competition, animosity, or any of that stuff between the two systems is just...*shakes head* disappointing.
between the people, yes.
Friendly Competition between the frameworks at the point of makeing both of them the BEST that they posibly could be is healthy, but should be done with numbers and detaild testing, but it remains that it should be done in the intrest to make the framework better and not to some persuit of vanity.
