So...yet another species we can take off of the extinction list.
LOL ya its been a long time since I've been part of the development crew of any project to be honest. In fact back then it was more fashionable to use CVS from a bash shell - the whole idea of a graphical revision control system is scary :D
While mana bars will never be part of the core of Grid2 due to performance issues, there is already a sample plugin. If you want mana bars, try it out.
Fully intend to :D as soon as I get the time to play with the SVN client anyways (I'm more of a CVS person.) And I perfectly understand why it won't be part of the core. I can see why most classes would consider that information to be not particularly useful, therefore its use would be limited. Just saying it would have a use to at least some of us.
Mana bars are not, and never will be, present in the Grid2 core, and you do not need them for anything.
I disagree. As a feral druid I never use my own innervate. Low mana status will tell me who needs it, but it is a poor indicator of who needs it more. For example, it is much more important that I innervate a holy paladin with 1% mana than a priest with 15% mana.
With a low mana indicator, I can't tell the difference between the two without targetting them individually, which I typically don't have time for. Having actual mana bars makes it a lot easier for me to quickly and more accurately make these kinds of decisions.
