Hi all.Ag_unitframes are just awesome.I wanted to see more stuff like Party targets etc so i checked a little here and this thing with Ace3 seems to have more addons and better looking.Even in beta stage i can use it right?I dl tortoise and get the whole folder with ace3,ag options,ag extras,break19,adreasg subfolders.I just place it as it is inside addons folder?Or what?
Maybe silly questions i m newbie dont forget.
just get Ace3, ag_Extras and ag_Options. The other two are not part of the Ace3 version.
When is this going to happen? or what is the non svn-client way to retrieve this branch?
There is no non-svn way (except excessive manual downloading via a browser). AG will move it to branch when it is ready(tm). It is actually very easy to get a free SVN client and get the branch version. It is also VERY stable (I've been using it for many months now).
The pet happiness icon shows up partly covered by the lower right hand corner of the pet frame (I can submit a screenshot if necessary). I'm using the frames at less than 100% scale if that is of any help.
Personally I think it is ready... haven't had issues in a looooong time. Well, perhaps we should get the relative scaling of health vs. mana bar thickness back (in the config screen) before you push it out :-).
Actually, one thing that I never thought of reporting (figured it was just a limitation). Portraits don't seem to scale real well. If I make my bars narrower (say 35 pixels), the portraits end up distorted. I would expect them to just scale down height and widht to fit with in the available bar height.
I'd like to second the requests by Saynt (in particular the last three).
Andreas, could you also comment on a request I've had before regarding Auras. I really like filtering since I don't need to see all auras. However, there are some that I DO need to see that are currently filtered out. The one that comes to mind is the polarity when fighting the first boss in Heroic Mech (but I'm sure there are others). Perhaps there would be a way to not filter out boss special abilities as a class since those are the ones that would fall into this category. I know that there are several of them we might not care about, but at least that would be a start.
It's because the event UNIT_MAXHEALTH or whatever isn't registered, which means that ONLY if your max health is changed it won't be noticed right away. In instances, people taking damage, getting healthed etc. isn't slow. But I can register the event, it's no problem :P
He is back!!!!!! I love the beta version of AGUF but still miss a few things.
a) disable party targets in raids (or whenever you disable party members and pets
b) allow us to align the party targets to the party members just like the pets (and allow us to move the pets to another position relative to the member)
c) a bit more flexibility for filtered aura. Specifically there are some auras that currently get filtered out but that are "required" to see, such as the polarity shift in heroic mech.
Found another issue yesterday... I had "filtered auras", or whatever the option is, checked while running hero mech. It seems that filters out ALL auras (so I couldn't see the polarity shift on the rest of the party. Is the plan to have it show some auras/buffs and not others? That would be very useful (perhaps only show auras that happen while in combat and have a duration shorter than 10 minutes or something like that).
I also couldn't find a way to change the spacing between the party members and there isn't enough room right now for the auras.
I noticed that I couldn't move the Party Pets frame when anchored to the parent. Yes, I understand that's what anchor means, but I'd like more anchor options, specifically below/rightjustified rather than to the right of the party member.
I think the ACE3 version is coming along very nicely. A few things I'd like to see have to do with setup. Right now all frames are independent. It would be very nice if we could "attach" them to other frames (so that you could move them as a block). In at least one case, party targets, this becomes rediculous since you can actually mix them up. This may be true for Party Pets too. Both of these should be set up as either:
a) one free standing "block" for all Party Targets / Party Pets (I believe that is how the Party frames are today) where you set the attributes of the first one and then just define an offset between them.
b) have them attach to the parent Party Frame. You'd still set up the attributes on the first one (size, font, auras etc). However, now you assign the offset to the parent Party frame rather than between the Party Targets / Party Pets.
In a similar fashion I'd like to anchor Target to Player (with an offset) for easy moving, but that one I can live without.
Raid Frames... I guess you could go either way. Right now they are like the Blizzard ones in that each group is independent. I think there is a good argument for sticking them to one another (but maybe just make them sticky rather than having a parameterized offset).
I just installed the new agUF today and really like it (was looking for the party target functionality). I know it is work in progress but one thing I'd really like to see are global settings for the bars so that I don't have to go in and replicate it for each group (width, height, scale etc.)
