I see biatch0's issue all the time in raids when I'm looking for my Hunter's Mark debuff icon. I'll see the Hunter's Mark cooldown on another icon (for a debuff not placed by me or even someone else of my class) a good portion of the time. Usually when this happens, the Hunter's Mark debuff icon is not visible at all either. It's almost like PitBull is drawing some other debuff's icon where Hunter's Mark should go, but is showing the Hunter's Mark cooldown on top of that incorrect icon.
could you please make pitbull running?? i tried using this addon since several months now but every time i load a new version a new error shows up. not one stable version for months? what are you doing there? i like your addon and the great possibilities to configure every pixel of the frames, but isn't it most important that you addon just WORKS??
well... it works if i deactivate all my other addons... but sorry to say, i will resign on pitbull to use my other addons. i don't think addons in this stadium should be released. this is not even beta.
pleeease... MAKE IT WORK!
(btw. the addons which will cause conflicts are ACE-addons, like cartographer. if i activate both pitbull and cartograpger, i can't configure pitbull "LibRockConfig-1.0: Bad return from function "args" for 'Pitbull'. Expected "table", got "string" ("@cache"). )
PS i'm not best in english, not my native language...
Update *all* of your addons to the very latest version.
im having simmilar problems with mem increasing ~40-60MB after a full raid without perfomancefu showing anything strange. garbage colection gives back ~5-10mb of it, think that the damagemeter is a big culprit in these cases.
However i have stopped looking at things like fps and memory usage, instead i just go after wether i feel any lag or not. 100mb+ mem is no prob if u have a decent comp and shouldn't be very notisable...
(got a real old comp but with some decent hardware in it, P4 3,2 with 2Gb RAM and 256 gpx) i dun get any tendency for lag untill mem starts climbing to 250+ (has happened a few times in the past due to some lib problems and taint/leaks).
I've been seeing the same thing lately. No idea which addon (if any) is causing it. Memory climbs over the course of a raid from a little over 100MB to over 250MB and I start getting long (10+ second) pauses in gameplay, presumably due to some internal garbage collection or something. Manual garbage collection reclaims only 5-10MB as Kerecha reported.
That is due to where Blizzard has that model's centerpoint set to. It's not a PitBull bug, but would actually be something that would need extra code to fix. Since it's a problem on Blizzard's end (even though there are workarounds) and it doesn't affect functionality, it's low on the priority list.
Frankie's issue sounds a bit different. The issue that I was seeing was that player/party portraits would revert frequently from the portrait mode to the full-body mode visually, even though the setting would still show portrait.
Bug with the Spark module on a druid: when shifting into feral forms, if the Spark was visible on my mana bar, it remains visible at about 50% opacity in a fixed position on the rage/energy bar. Up until about a week ago, it correctly disappeared when shifting out of mana-using forms.
Spark is also used for the Energy Bar in Cat Form, so I'm surprised it doesn't work for Cat.
You can't edit anything that isn't currently visible. Annoying, and I'm not sure why it is this way, but that's how it is. Target yourself, and then you should be able to edit the target health text since your target frame (with the target text) will be visible.
It's done this way for efficiency. Frames are created dynamically I think, and only when needed.
Enable a configuration mode under the main Pitbull settings category (Solo, Party and Raid options are available) to see dummy unit frames and buff placeholders, as well as all the options to configure them.
What I don't understand is why it's using the Rock libs embedded in Cartographer when PitBull should have newer ones. Are you not installing a version of PitBull that has the Rock libraries included? You don't really want to mix-and-match between installing some addons with externals/libraries and some addons without externals/libraries included.
Not to hijack the thread, but I think that's misleading. I'm not sure about core libraries, but that's definitely not true for others because individually packaged libraries are all run load-on-demand and aren't loaded until an addon calls for them.
My statement was probably too unilateral I admit, but I did qualify it as being only my personal opinion :)
I'm using r62036 and doing /pitbull I still getting the error I posted some posts ago
You've got some kind of library version conflict. It looks like you have some Rock libraries embedded in your Cartographer install that aren't working correctly with Pitbull. Make sure to update both Cartographer and PitBull to the latest versions on files.wowace.com.
At the very least, you should use WAU or jWowUpdater to keep all of your Ace/Rock addons up to date.
Edit: This is why there is no benefit to running embedded imo :p
