The plugins themselves store their locations in their saved variables. If you want ClockFu on the left for one toon and on the right for another, you need to switch profiles for that addon. The profiles and saved variables for FuBar are just about FuBar variables - number of bars, bar locations, size, etc.
Thanks, I notice that it was actually linked on the wiki page for fubar. The wiki page itself is rather confusing as it refers to Fubar, Fubar2, and Fubar3 with little differentiation. I'm attempting to update it so other people don't get confused like I was but I'd appreciate people in the know taking a look to vet it.
Just right-click FuBar or click the AddonPreferences icon. Or use an unbound click combination (like ctrl-right-click) on your PitBull frames to open to the config for that frame. Or type /pitbull or /parrot etc.
I'm not againt new things, unless they completely break with the old design and leave no way back for all of those used to the old design. While some have correctly pointed out, that calling "rock" bad is a personal opinion others may not share, calling "rock" good is the same.
Personally I would like both options to coexist in the end. But for now I would really like to have my waterfall config back. I don't really care much what happens to "rock", and am willing to give it more tries as time goes by and it has evolved a bit more. But for now I really see no reason to make it hard for all us waterfall fans.
Sorry, I don't like rock. But I don't have to like it if there are alternatives. Which brings me to my question : is there any way to get my waterfall configuration back?
In case there isn't : can anyone tell me how I can revert to Version 2 of FuBar? Sorry, I'm not ready to put up with "rock" yet[/edit]
RockConfig pretty much is waterall. Unless you mean DewDrop. Would you like to write up LibRockDewdrop or whatever? That needs to be done first. That's all. As Starinnia nicely explained in another thread, it's all about getting Rock out for testing and usage and then adding things as it goes, or having it in a constant state of limbo as he tries to make it perfect with everything that everyone could possibly ever want - ever - before releasing it.
Right-click on the fubar you would like to show a plugin on. RockConfig automatically opens to the options for that FuBar bar. At the right are the pulldown menus with the plugins. imo, I think it takes the same amount of time/effort, it just looks different.
Nothing you get from the files page or off of WAU was never intended to be bug-free (or even dry-code free), and was never intended to be used as a distribution point. You've been around here long enough to know that, HunterZ. :) When using WAU or updating your addons, *ALWAYS* back up. WAU even warns you to before you go running a mass update. Never expect to not have any bugs when using "bleeding edge" updates.
