Just cause they are in the channel, doesn't mean they are using Dailies Quest Tracker. This is a universal channel for AceComm for anyone that wants to do global communication with users developing Ace mods.
They could be running a completely different mod that also uses the AceComm channel.
Im having the same issue with a friends of mine that i usually do the dailies together with.
I know he's running Dailies Quest Tracker and i know he has comunication on (this i know becous Im the one that does all of he's addons, that is based on my own just without the really heavy raid stuff) but no information is recieved when he gargets up the q's (were even in grp and in the same zone so our normal questlog/tracker announced that its been aceppted) but 10-20 min later still not a single piece of info recieved..
When you load my mod for the first time, ALL communications are off and no AceComm channel is joined. YOU have to turn this on manually, if it is still on when you turned if OFF through my mod. Then you have another mod that uses AceComm.
YOU cannot chose which channel to join for AceComm, AceComm will inject itself into the first available channel it sees. Reason why I have a delay so your custom channels and Blizz's default channels are made before AceComm trys to set a channel.
THIS is a flaw with AceComm, not my mod. I suggest you take that up with the authors of AceComm or turn off communications within Dailies Quest Tracker.
I have it off, i have to have it off since i use mutiple custom channels that aren't always active (raid channels and simmilar) and a bunch of macros linked to those that gets messed up if i have it on.
Perhapps a bit unclear in the exact words of the post but not all of us have english as our native languages.
And please, theres no need to be snapping at me, im not a coder, i don't know all the innner workings of mods or what does what. The only thing i can do is ask/suggest in the primary thread of the affected addon, then if it proves to be related to a lib or simmilar i can, after finding out, take it to the right place.
Joining the AceComm channel should now insert itself into the 1st AVAILABLE channel and will announce it when it has done so. PLEASE make sure you have all your CUSTOM channels to your liking before loading the mod in-game as you can't change the AceComm channel numbering.
Fixed errors when trying to accept quests from non Random Daily quest givers.
Isn't it possible to use the "normal" addon channel instead of AceComm?
Or does that restict recipiants for the comunication?
Would kinda like to keep all addon comunication in one "channel/tab" but still be able to bring it up if something seems odd.
(atm im using Prat to gather all that into 1 tab)
