Yup, I haven't touched TrainerFu since... I can't remember. And I will probably never do it again mainly because I'm not using FuBar anymore. What I possibly could have done is to convert it to broker, but I don't have to... Use Broker_Trainer instead.
Anyone feel free to do whatever you wan't with it.
Hate to bug you again Nickeny, but the demon trainer module is also checking for the notes module and spitting out an error. Sorry, I don't have the exact error on hand atm, but I imagine you probably know what's going on.
As i wrote i have removed (actually just disabled) the notes module from TrainerFu. It is now replaced by the Cartographer module nnTrainers.
To import the notes from TrainerFu to nnTrainers you have to:
1. Edit FuBar_TrainerFu.toc and uncomment the line #modules\TrainerNotes.lua
2. Run the command "/run Cartographer_nnTrainers:ImportTrainerFuNotes()" in game.
3. Edit FuBar_TrainerFu.toc and comment out the same line again.
anywhere close for a fix to the mapnotes module not toggling off correctly?
Actually i have tried to fix it and i couldn't find out why it does like that. I have a version that does some ugly things to go around this that i don't want to commit. I'll have to dissect this piece of crap to find out what is going on. :-/
I find this addon great and very useful. However, I have noticed that it comes third in memory usage for normal play (after Ace itself and Informant). I suspect that this is because the whole database is loaded, correct me if wrong. Could the memory usage be reduced down if the database was split so that only the skill databases relevant for the character would be loaded?
Yeah it use quite some memory (almost one MiB for me). But as with other DB addons the memory is loaded (like you said) and then just stays there. Try playing for a whole evening and you will see there is almost no memory increase except if a new trainer is visited.
Well the database could be split for each character, but the problem is if a character visit a trainer that information will never be available to the other characters. That was how old version of the addon worked, and the truth is that it was a alot simpler that way.
Certainly there is a lot that can be improved to cut down memory usage, I just need time and motivation :-)
i am using the latest version of this mod on a german client. I got the problem that my secondary skills ( cooking and first aid) show still trainable spells that i have allready learnt. all other proffesion works fine. I also deletet the lua yesterday, but after i visit the cooking trainer all the spells are again listet.
Have you opened the Cooking craft panel? If so and still have some recipes left that you know you have learned you can ctrl-alt-click it to hide/mark it as learned. If all recipes is shown then it has to be localization problem.
