I would like to ask some advice about how to find whats wrong with my settings or whatever it is.. for 1 particular toon in 1 account, even if i turn off cart_QO in ACP,the Addons menu in character selection and unchecked in Cartographer, I still see it loaded in my performance addon. I've also been told to look at addons.txt and it *is* flagged as disabled there.
Is there a way to find out what is causing this? The same thing also happens for ItemSync in the same toon, but in other toons, disabling it works fine.
Have you tried after Disabling in ACP to exit the game and get back in? What you're doing seems correct, but, it's possible it's a Blizz issue (or ACP, but Blizz is more likely if it's disabled in the .txt)
I'm trying to share my data base with my friend, when me or him click manual request it doesn't seem to do anything, how can i tell if it is working or not
It's most likely working. Cartographer sends the info through SendAddonMessage (or it should!) to your friend and neither him nor you will see the message. Generally with a big database it'll take about 30 minutes and after that take another 10 minutes for them to show on the map. You'll just need to be patient =(

First thing, very very nice job.
I have a requests for this mod. I'm looking at the http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=5092.0 thread for the good contribution people is doing in order to create a full QuestObjectives database, but I'm spanish and I have the UI in spanish as you can imagine. Because of that the DB is useless for me.
My request is. Is it possible to have DB not dependant on language?
I think this could be a nice feature, not only for me but for the rest of non-english speakers.
PD. Sorry for me english.
Yes and No.
I'll go with No First: It is forced to remember the names of the item/mob names, they are different in each localization.
Yes: It would be possible if you were able to create the "WoWDictionary-1.0" library which contained localizations for EVERY mob and EVERY item name (in all languages you'd want)
In the end: Yes, it's possible, but it is nigh impossible unless WoW adds some API to find the localized name of something in another language =(. I would recommend posting your Spanish Database and see how many other Spanish Speakers you can get to help ;-).
PS I wouldn't've known English wasn't your first language ;-)
I can't wait... "Quest-givers" tracking is exactly what me and my friends are looking for, especially if it uses the huge databases you've all compiled so far.
Any idea how far off release is?
"When it's ready" Sorry, I had to ;-)

I've just started a new toon, and getting a lot out of this addon!!
However although kill and gather Qs seem to work great, it's not showing "go to X npc" quests.
Is it possible to have 'go to' quest points shown on the map?
Or for even more uberness, linking with nQuestlog (or similar) that we can click on a button next to the Q for a Waypoint to appear leading to the quest completion npc! Just thinking about it makes me want to change my pants in happiness...
The thing about "Go to NPC" quests is that they do not actually have any objectives. No objective, no note.
However, the next version will have this. It will track quest givers, objectives, and turn in locations, and do it all while using less memory. I would also love the integration that you are talking about. I plan on having the functions available to do that, but it will be up to the individual addon authors to add that kind of feature to their own mod.
ive noticed with xloot and auto loot turned on some objectives are not properly captured.
once i unset autoloot every objective got captured.
ofc accounting for distance restrictions.
also is there a lock out on how often objectives can be obtained at?
I assume you mean new notes aren't being created, if so:
Depending on how close a previous note is it can enlarge the size of the previous note to show it covers a larger area(or something to that effect) so you won't *always* create a new note each time
Now, I don't know what features you've finished 'for the next version', But i was hoping we could get them each 1 by 1 rather than waiting for them all (I'm dying for the QO database import xD)
Say you mouse-over 'Spider' and for the quest 'Kill Spiders' you need to kill 10 'Spiders' On the tooltip, it would be nice if it displayed 'Kill Spiders: 0 / 10'
This would also be nice on items
Are you running Extended Quest Log, or any other sort of Quest Log modifier? If so, that's the problem; please link me the release for the version you are using so I can see what it's doing that's causing the problem. It might be a problem in Quixote but I should figure out why it's happening before I report it to the author.
Yep, I'm using ELQ3 3.6.7 I can't seem to find a link for it, so I'll attach it =P
Unfortunately, Objectives isn't working for me, but it seems to be a problem in Quixote. I'm getting these erros in Bugsack:
